I'm not sure on the process, but in short, they put a torch to the handle scales!!! Thus producing the anodzied "funky 70's tripin' out dude" colors...

See you back up to speed, eh? :p Yeah, I got this one from BF...nicer than the pics, that's for sure, but the guy I got it from was dead on about the Vert/Horizontal play...who needs a Kona Q when I have a Salsa that does the hula? LOL!
I saw the Kona Q a few years back...at a store here ironically in Kona! :D Take care buddy! ;)
