Yesterday I finalized a trade that involved my SE Yurman (not today's Ebay auction) for another knife and we both agreed to wrap em up and get em out today, so we could have them on Saturday. As knife folks know ... packaging a fixed blade take more doing than a folder.
Anyway ..., this am I went downstairs to the basement to get some foam, a box and peanuts only to find the light out ... AND .., I missed the last step in the dark. Jarred the heck out of my back .. I kind of thought I might pay later.
At around 10:30, I made a simple motion in my office and my back said GOTTTTCHA ... Oh my gosh .. Holy cow, my back hurts ... I was walking around like a man that needed a cane. In any case .., I'm taking some ibuprofren ... a little vodka ... etc in an attempt to relax this back .. Man .. this hurts .. :(
Take care of that back. I was in a car accident almost a year ago and put out my back. It is not fun. Are for chiropractors? If so, go and get fixed up. If not try physio therapy. Those are what got me...on my feet again:) Sorry to hear, take Care!!!!

Aloha Stevie Ray,
Hooooooo buddy, I FEEL you on this thread! On 12-30-04, I *POPPED* my L5 right outta place doing "casual" Deadlifts. I went to a chiro the day after, got aligned...I'm about...90% now. It was cool because well, for one, my chiro was a martial artist, two, I overcame a phobia about chiropractors.
My fear of chiro's happened when one day at the gym, a chiro was giving free spinal "exams". Chiro had a model of a spine with him, checked your back, and if anything was outta place he'd move it on the model. Long story short, my friend's back looked like a spiral staircase!!! I never wanted to see one of these guys because I didn't wanna hear, "ooh, you gotta lift light, because your back looks like this..."
Anyways, do take care Stevie Ray, and I will be praying for ya!
God bless!
PS: HI CRAIG!!!! ;)

This is where 32 year old Single Malt mixed with Sprite comes into real play!!!
Do a 50/50 mix and force the old stuff into your system.... After a while you won´t feel a thing.
I´ve been numb for over a year on the stuff, just make sure you only use 32 year or over for the mix........
Vox.
Get well soon. :D

After not being able to get out of bed without the wife's help this am, my back is coming around this pm. I guess I'm lucky.
It is amazing how when your back is out ... the world is bad ... You guys will chuckle at this, but ... my first attempt at getting out of bed this am didn't work ... it hurt to breathe .... I got back in ... The wife got me some ibuprofren and I waited 30 minutes and tried again ... Used a cane I traded some blades for awhile back ... After an hour or so the pain lessened and I went to work. I wasn't productive, but I'm glad I started moving around .. In any case, thanks so much for the notes. I was really suffering last night ...

I've broken 5 ribs in one shot, stone steps. I fully understand with saying it hurts to breath.
Hurt less when I hit a parked car and my back was a solid bruise.

Stevie Ray, you have my sympathies, Bless you and take care.
Have had a number of back injuries over the years. The first was just reaching for a wrench in a lower cabinet, I was turned and a little bent over. Next thing, I'm laying on the floor in a pain I hadn't experienced in the first 24 years of living.
Here's hoping you get well soon.
