Howdy folks and greetings from Malaysia! Just want to touch-base on yer life-pardners. Okay, here were go ~ About yer wife, does she appreciate having your and your knives and tools including some cool stuff and never nag about you getting packages after packages after packages and leave you to yourself to enjoy yer toys as well as share 'em from time to time.. Mrs Samo is appreciative of all the :spyder: s in Samo's keepsake and use them from time to time. Samo's mother in-law appreciates the fact that her kitchen knives are sharper than ever. (Well, Samo does pop over once a while to carry out periodical maintenance of his in-law's kitchen tools). Samo for one, is very grateful to have found a pardner in crime who supports his hobbies and passion for sharp thingies especially :spyder: s :D So, whatabout you? Care to share yer thoughts?

Yeah, besides knives, Mrs Samo also knows how to handle small-arms
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v201/sam_cheong/BKK049.jpg
And appreciate fine cutting tools! ;) ;)

Well, I suppose that you could say that she does.....she appreciated my SS Cricket PE so much that she took it away from me and carries it as her EDC!! LOL
Funny thing is that she always made fun of me for carrying a knife...go figure! Along with the Cricket, I also gave her a white Photon II and green Glowring for her keychain. It took some time, but she has slowly come around and started to appreciate my knife, gadget and gear obsessions. :D
Now guns....that's going to take some more time.

The only thing that I have that my wife really likes is glowrings.
You are one lucky man to have a wife that likes the cool stuff.

Mahalo for that Paul...those knives have prevented her from stealing the ones in my Gawk Box!!! (For now!!! )
Take care Samo!!! ;)

My Lady carries a Harpy (as do I), and greatly desires a Dodo for EDC. I also have no delusions about keeping my Cricket SS for very long if she gets her hands on it.
She was trained as a Correctional Officer and wound up a Lieutenant (at age 19, no less) in a maximum security state pen, so she has been trained to handle firearms quite effectively. On one occasion when I forgot to phone home before arriving after dark, I was greeted at the door with a drawn katana sharp enough to shave with. On a similar occasion I was met at the door with a Springfield XD-9; to her credit, she knew well enough not to point with it before identifying her target, but it still scared the life out of me.
She is essentially a female version of me, so she understands my fascination with knives, guns, traditional archery, etc. I am the most fortunate man I know in that my Lady, my wife, is also by far my the best friend I have ever had.
Sorry for the misty-eyed rant - I'll shut up now.
Ta,
H
My wife thinks I'm nuts. She tolerates my fascination/obsession with firearms, knives, and other weapons.
Every now and then, she'll ask to use one of my knives for mundane cutting chores, but other than that, she could take 'em or leave 'em.
And whenever I cut myself, she looks at me, all irritated, and says, "I can't believe you're still messing around with those damn knives."

Samo et all,
Mrs. Wotanson (Karen) has a little Jester in her work bag and does, on occasion, use it to open sample boxes at work, that's of course when her assistants aren't around for manual labor  . As far as I'm concerned, as long as I keep my knife habit down to one about every other month, which I do now a days especially because we will have a little Heathen baby around the house in a couple of months (our first), I don't get any flack for my knife addiction. In fact I don't get any flack around the house for much. :) Cheers, Rob

SAMO! - what are you doing? Are you trying to drive a wedge beteween us? Gaby is appreciative about Spyderco and the fine KAI VG-10 Gold kitchen knives she has but she seems to firmly believe that 120 plus pocket knives should be enough!!!!?????
Also in the field of flashlights, she likes what she has and what it does for here, but the overdoses that I supscribe to myself are not very well appreciated. UPS and mail men often get a beating at the door when I,m not fast enough. Now this irrational behaviour of my little furious Gaby keeps me pretty much allert and on my toes....
Sleep well guys as I'm on guard all the time!

Well Jur ~ Gaby has good taste when she picked ya as her pardner! *heh-heh!* :D Hey, speaking of lights, yeah, Michelle "inherited" a Surefire E-2e and an Inova X-5! She loves the outdoor, food and travel.. I couldn't have asked for more.. :D

Hi Samo,
Viking wife sails the Fjord alot and therefor she knows the meaning of a good sharp knife. As long as she doesn´t see any price tags, she smiles at most of my blades. She has quite a few herself, most made by me or Spyderco.
Stay well,
Vox.
BTW, Is that a TOPS Tom Brown Tracker??

my wife too appreciates :spyder: .
she's not an avid collector, but at present she has a Q (spyder on blade SE), mini police on necklace and an engraved UK penknife. she carries a ladybug on her key-ring.
and she has a surefire E2E HA next to the bed.
all in all, pretty great.
she also likes to watch when i unpack my collection of :spyder: , handle them a bit and watch as i oil and wrap them up until the next time.
i collect :spyder: as i love them, but it makes it nicer to have someone around who understands why i collect and also likes the collection :)

I got my wife a Dragonfly a couple of months ago and she carries it all the time now. In the kitchen she uses a Spyderco mini paring knive. She also has a license to carry her .357 Ruger. Not bad for a grandma of five. :)
Samo!
I wouldn't mess around on that woman!! :D You're lucky to have found soemone who is as much a fancier of pointy things, gadgets, and guns as you are. Mrs Java shares the knife appreciation but drraws the line at guns. She carries a Jester, Ladybug, blue Delica, pink Delica, a Chive, or a rainbow Leek as her "Terri" carry. She also has a pearl handled Vox custom push dagger inbound. She appreciates all me Spydies, as does my sister-in-law, and I know if Spyderco ever made a pink Civvy, it would see active wife carry duty.

Unfortunately, my wife does not like the knives and hates the firearms more! :( However, she tolerates which is all I ask as I have never liked her mother and barely tolerate her!! :D

Mrs. CKE has a pink SE Jester and a Bob T. Jr CE that she uses to open boxes from shipments and stuff. Not really into knives but knows the difference between Spydies and the rest. She even broke down and bought me a Yojimbo for Chrstmas...should be here Monday:)

My better half has no less than 3 spyderco's in her purse, including a pink ladybug and a yellow firefly. I made the mistake of training her how to use handguns about 30 years ago. Since then she has been a partner in all of my fun hobbies. Now she has come to appreciate my flashlight collection......

Hi Samo. My wife usually carries bigger knives than me. She also carries more knives than me (one at a time). I usually stick to my old Delica, while she rotates the knives every two weeks. She was into PE but she recently discovered the advantages of serrations (due to a knife I'll talk about soon)
BTW, Samo, since you got to your lady a Trakker, you should take her to see "The Hunted" - it features this knife there (and the movie isn't that bad either) ;)

:spyder::eek: Whoah!!! You are one lucky dude bro! Nah, we don't have a TOPs trakker.. The one in the pix actually belonged to someone else. Mrs Samo loves her Calypso SS, Delica FRN, Perrin Bowie and a blue ladybug.. :D

Not too long ago, back when I had a woman by my side, she absolutly hated any form of knives outside of the kitchen. How can you explain such a woman you feel better when there's a knife at arm's reach in the bedroom? :D
While she didn't appreciate my knife collection, she certainly appreciated me. And even if she never said it out loud, I think some times she was glad I had some pocket knife to get us out of "trouble". The philosophy was she didn't need to carry one since I always had one and we were always together....
Sorry about the sentimentality here...

My wife carries pink jesters on her keychains. A buck 110 in her purse is called her "mall knife". When she first showed it to me I thought she said "maul knife" . I am waiting to find a deal on a pink delica. It needs to be the metal clip version as she is wrong-handed. :) I would love to take her shooting and I know she'd like to go BUT (doesn't everyone you know have a big but?) it''s hard to justify paying a sitter to go shooting rather than dinner or a movie or something like that.

My partner also EDC's a SS PE Cricket which she uses all the time over at the stables.
If she needs more cutting power she takes her (was mine  ) Spyderco Lil' Temperance...
Fixed blade wise she uses a Helle Nying.
She buys me cool stuff too, she got me this for my birthday:

im not married - but my girlfriend likes me owning and carrying knives - i recently gave her my SOG Flash2 after it bit her (first person that it bit)
she loves using my delica in the kitchen and thinks my dragonfly is cute
one day soon i will get her a ss dragonfly if i can find one in PE - then get her name engraved on it.
she also likes me carrying flashlights although i noticed my CMG infinity ultra in her handbag the other day
and she has gotten used to feeling weird lumps on me when she hugs me
things like my phone and surefire L4 and my leatherman flair, and then the rescue and the paramillie
soon i might be carrying a gun at work and she doesnt really like the idea but is getting used to the idea because then she will be able to see me more often

My GF thinks I'm some sort of wierdo-nut-job. So I stop sharping her knives and one day she came to my and asked if I would sharping them for her. Well atlest she likes the Sharp Maker. If she wasn't cute and good in the sack I'd find some other gal to put up with my sh*t.

Samo, with all due respect your wife (it appears that she is at some kind of range facility) should have both eye and ear protection on as should everyone else at said or any other shooting facility. As a USPSA/IPSC certified RO, and a life time hand gun practicioner this is very important from a safety point of view as an aside, here in the states I would be very supprised if any range facility would allow anyone on the line without these two items. PLEASE be safe Sam and bouth you and your lovely wife wear the proper protection on your next shooting outing, be safe mjmcdowell
