pen forums

I was looking for a forum on ink pens and did a Google search.
The first hit you get looks like a pen forum but I don't think it is.I did not look through it to much but it sure didn't look like a forum I wanted to be in.
Anyone know of a buy-trade forum on ink pens?

While I realize this might be taking the long way around the houses, there are a *large* number of individuals on the alt.smokers.pipes forum that collect pens, myself being one of them.

You will not find a more accommodating, polite, or considerate group of individuals on a usenet newsgroup. Join the group, mark your post [OT] for off-topic (this is important), and ask away. If such a forum exists, someone there will know where it is and can guide you to it.

Who knows, you might find yourself interested in pipes before your time there is complete (which would be to your betterment, at least in my opinion, but I am a bit biased on this subject). :D

My pen "collection" is meager at best, largely due to local availability. ebay is a good place to start collecting, and if you are handy and knowledgable local "flea markets" will sometimes produce pure gold.

One such "golden" occasion arose when I purchased a chisel-tip cartridge-type fountain pen on eBay; the gentleman I purchased it from sent free of charge an entire box of dip-pen nibs and two antique nib holders - they were the very thing I had been searching eBay for unsuccessfully over several prior months.

My knowledge of pens is limited at best, but I will help you all I can.

I am mainly looking for one of the older brushed SS Papermate pens that has the 2 hearts on the clip with a white background.I have tried several times to get one on Ebay but they must be very collectable.The price allways go up to 40.00 or better.I can remember a time when you could buy the set(Pen and Pencel) for 15.00.With these being this popular seems to me Papermate would start makeing them again.
