Are the jackbooted Danish postal Spyderco immigration prevention authority now hacking into and diverting your e-mails???? I received a menu in the mail yesterday BTW. Now that was a bit different....! It made me real real hongrey there pilgrim. Especially the carpaccio!!!! Do you know what it takes to find a chef that knows how to slice and marinate those succulent little strips of beef?? Last time I had good carpaccio was in a small out of the way resturant in Menlo Park, CA. It's rough being an Italian/Swedish/German/Native American and unable to satisfy the cravings for your multinational native foods. Plus I'm mistaken for an Asian and called Dr John by all my Vietnamese friends. Guess I'd better go tie on a big bowl of pho tai bo vien for lunch now.

The twins are actually getting in to Hockey Cheerleading. You should see the tricks they can do with a Puck....... :eek: :p

Ah Ingrid the faire. Between just you and me buddy ....that was no eel. ;) Ice Hockey cheerleaders?! Might have to make a trip to the old world since we ain't got no freakin' hockey here this year. Java the Younger and I are raging mad about the NHL row. :mad: We went to the local Brahmas/Mudbugs game on Saturday but the CHL ain't the same. A couple of NHL players dropped down to keep sharp and the cowtown flavor makes for interesting between period action. Nothing like Chuck-a-Puck to get you rollin'. Have the girls keep the puck warm for me....

Thinking Java the Younger and I may need a prep run before tackling Honshu and the Japanese Alps two years hence.

Ahhhhhh...that kringle. Thought we had you out of that "kringle-Rehab" ready to face X-Mas without the sticky stuff :p

Kringle with marcipan

3 kringle´s

Dough:
300 g flover
200 g butter
2 spoons of sugar
50 g gær (I have no idear how to spell this..it sounds like jeeeast :confused: )
2 whole whiped eggs

Marcipanfilling:
150 g Marcipan
80 g sugar
80 g soft butter
75 g rasins

"iceing": whiped egg, almond chips and large grained sugar.


Desolve the jeeeast in the egg and sugar. Ad flovor and butter. work it into a smooth dough. Let the dough rest while you make the filling

Filling; chup the Marcipan into tiny little pices (Use the Bowie I made :p ) mix it with the sugar, butter and rasins (I would leave out the rasins, but each to his own...)

Role out the dough making 3 pices of 20 x 35 cm.
Put the filling in the middel of the 3 pices.. Fold Fold the sides over and place the pices on baking paper. let it rest for ca. 40 min. covered with a cloth in a "warm" place.
"Paint" the pices over with the egg and sprinkle with the almond chips and large grained sugar.

Bake for Ca. 20 min. in a 200ºC hot oven.

I know I can´t spell -but hey, I got 9 Cheerleaders lusting for me, so who cares...... ;)
