This thread is, in part, to do with my non-plussed purchase with
One Stop Knife Shop...
I don't know about any of you, but I notice, since 9/11 a lethargy
has crept over the U.S. at least -
FLA was bad enough, but now I notice it in the North East ( really
out of character for us up here BTW ) Certainly when the WTC was attacked
alot people put thing's on hold....it's now 3yrs later!
I just came from Mc Donalds ( here's a corker! ) and I get in line with a guy
that must have taken a record five minutes to order a Big Mac, soda &
fries. He then just stands in line ( as it begin's to grow ) and proceeds to
consume that fatty "fast food" - the cashier look's around him & say's "next
in line" and this lummox continues to stuff his face, until the cashier told
him "you're all set, next" and he slllooowwwllyy moved off & over to where
the condiments were...
HELLO,THIS IS A FAST FOOD RESTAURANT, NOT CHUCK'S STEAK HOUSE!!!
This trend is alarming - one can reasonably expect to wait in a doctor's
office, ER, or some place where it's called for, but to make people wait
just because of one's own sloth?
Give you another example -
When I was on a bus in Hollywood, FLA a youngster was at the bus stop
having a smoke ; the bus door's opened & he just stood there, taking his
time to finish his cigarette, delaying the bus ( the driver closed the bus doors
and you shoulda seen how fast he moved then! )
Or how about going to a "social service agency" to get a bus pass & something that take's a day goes into three days?
I don't know about all of you, but I'm glad my number's gonna be up
sooner :D 'cause personally I'd hate to see what thing's are gonna
be like five years down the road!
I sure hope our troops aren't copping the same attitude either, because
if that's the case, al qaeda & the Iraqi's are gonna have fun beating us to
a pulp while we "wait" our respective turns.
I make a formal call for consideration - people, let's not waste precious
time!
What say the augurers?
