Hi!
Since we're all Knifenuts here (you have to be if you love your spydies) :p . I'm wondering if any of you also collect fixed blades. Lately my :spyder: collection had been stuck on 9  because my hard earned dough is being diverted to fixed blades. Right now I have a Buck Nighthawk, A Gerber LMF and a Marble's 7". I'm also about to get my second BlackJack(Old Eff, Ill). If you are also into fixed blades(old, Millitary, Custom&self made), please share it with us!

Well I don't know if I qualify as a collector, but I currently have a Lum Tanto, Ronin, Swamp Rat Camp Tramp, and a no-name boot dagger (fairly old). Recently at bladeshow west I had the honor to see and touch an amazing collection of Loveless knives. And Mr Loveless himself was there as well!

Not mine... but a guy can dream!

Hi Tbirdjoe - Now tell me what kind of wheels you've got... Yeah, after a long time out of the publics main focus, the fixed blades seem to be coming back into scoop. I've been interested in fixed blades since 1992. i must admit however, that I focussed on folders for the last 8 years. I have many fixed blades, too many to mention but they are from Spyderco, Gerber, Fjällraven, G. Sakai, Moki and David Boye among others. Since 2 years I also look at an buy fine kitchen cutlery like the Kai series VG-10 gold damascus series. Very fine knives to work with!
I also like ceramic blades. So far, so good.
Let's hear it! :spyder:
I've taken to fixed blades myself lately. Here is an EDC in the rotation - Fallkniven WM1 VG10 Black Micarta in Leather Sheath:

For fixed blades, I''m mostly into older Al Mar models (http://www.geocities.com/mrblonde50/almar_fixed.htm)

TbirdJoe - The WM1 is still available, but only in rubber handle. Still VG10 but not mirror polished. Comes with Kydex (belt or neck) or Leather.
Cheers - RLR

Just got my latest fixed... a Tichbourne H5 in a right hand sheath.
I'll have to get a family shot of both tichbourne's... got the H7 in march.
For me fixed blades come before folders - in my collection of users I have a Dozier Master Hunter, Spydie Moran, Krein TK1, Benchmade Rant Bowie and a Dozier Gents on order.

Mr SOG stands corrected. The Beagle rules on style alone anyway.....
Pulse in hand but reconsidering the second Leatherman after Tim decided to mix politics and business using the Leatherman name. To bad Sal's model as a businessman with responsibilities to his employees and customers on either side of the political coin is not followed wisely by some.....
Aw what the hay? It's for Vox so consider it done.
Package soon my Viking blade bending berserker brother.....soon.
A forumite told me, "they call 'em fixed blades cuz they aint broke". ;)

Ten-four, Elenore!
The pearl is in the river! Will be two rather than one package.....I'll work on catching a shot of the sting ray house.
BTW: Does that mean Sal has been foisting mostly "broken" blades on us Spyderfiends??? :(   :D
My fixed blades consist of Striders:
--HT. Fixed blade, 4.25" spearpoint blade.

I´ll take the WP. The 50$ will be send to you as soon as the STRIDER gets here

Yeah, I like the WP too. Very unique blade, with it's quarter-inch thickness. Very, very tough; I can't imagine this blade ever breaking! I reprofiled the edge, and it's darn sharp.
It's a nice, little fixed blade for EDC that doesn't freak people out too terribly, yet is incredibly strong.

Recently picked up a Buck Nighthawk on a whim at a Wally World Store and it has turned out to be a real sleeper. It's a user knife, like the blade shape and the ergonomics are outstanding.
