The incident he discusses where AI was used to frame the school principal is among the types of stuff that really bothers me:

Militaries will begin to put AI in charge of various things. That will go well. Then, more advanced AI will be put in charge of other things. One day, AI will have its figurative finger on the nuclear missile button. Also, AI will eventually take over the role of ambassador to other nations, who in turn will have AI as their ambassadors. It is safer for humans, they will say. AI are better at negotiating complexities, they will say. I am pessimistic because AI only know the biases of their programmers and none of morality because morality entails religion and religion is deemed problematic.

Short term, I'm not worried. Long term, AI will probably cause an extinction event.

I forwarded that video to everyone that I know, but will they take it as seriously as they should?

In the very near future we are going to "see" and "hear" a world leader saying we are going to war with XYZ and it will be 100% fake.

People better wake up! Only trust what is right in front of you that you can reach out and see, hear, touch and smell.

Keep in mind that no regulation in America is going to stop A.I. research in other countries. In other words, all they're doing is giving China a clear road to A.I. domination. Now you can worry.

Sole proprietorships, businesses, corporations and governments of all sizes are going to have to develop fool-proof ways to transact for services, materials, etc., because AI is being used to dupe the unwary.

Tie AI deep fake voice and phone ID spoofing and you have a major issue. Anyone can pretend to be anyone.

That's not a problem. Train A.I. on the entire internet and it will learn human's flair for lying and gaming the system. It's doing exactly what the research is: Learning. One could say humans only have themselves to blame, or that A.I. is showing you exactly what you are. Who's surprised ?
