I'll be honest Larry, I think a lot of Coaches are afraid of the Kentucky job.
It's one of if not the most prestigious job in College Basketball imho.
And the media hasn't helped any - I mean any fan base is gonna want results especially after years and a kings ransom in pay (Calipari)
That's just my opinion of the situation.
I feel the media has really hurt UK -

I agree totally Paul! Looks like we went a safe route and hired a former player in Mark Pope, after failing to land a big fish...

Nothing against Mark but every time I see him, in my head I'll say " hey, it's-a-the Pope"! :shush

Oh, I think that's a great hire, Larry.
They're gonna keep this hire in the family.
I really like that.

Looks good to me , Larry . He already knows expectations and will not take responsibility lightly . Hope the team stands behind him . I bet his contract is loaded with incentives. Wish KU a great next year . Dan

Boswell is gonna be a good guard. Played point guard this year.
He was a bit inconsistent in the 2nd half of the year.
When he wasn’t making his shots his self-confidence took a nose dive.
He’d basically stop shooting. His shooting form is very smooth so, I’m not
Sure what the issue was. He still a kid, I think he turned 19 this month.
Oh, and I wanted to mention that when he was “on” the Cats never lost!

I think he will do real good for you guy’s.

I think it will be a good fit . Looks like Underwood is looking for a true point guard for next season . We have lost some key players and right now seems like the search for a big man is a priority. It’s tough juggling the portal and bringing in freshman . We may have a dip next year in wins but other Big Ten teams are going through something. I always enjoyed the Arizona / Illini games , wish they still had that in schedule. Dan

Larry, I was sorry to learn of Sheppards declaring for the N.B.A. Draft.
I really would've liked to have seen him play 1 more season at Kentucky.

Can't blame him but another year would have been nice. I've kinda had my head in the sand since losing all these transfers. Not much good news coming from Lexington so denial is my catharsis at the moment. :zany
