I've owned just about all the big folders Spyderco has made and id say the Szabo Folder was probably the "sturdiest"

Edit: not the biggest, but sturdiest.

Tatanka is a holy grail for me . Sadly passed up years ago thinking it was going to be around for a long time . MG2

Not sure what handle material is on the Tuff, or the blade length...but seems like it's a pretty stout knife.

I am no expert but in current production I would say the Manix 2 XL.

If you asked which knife I'd like to see coming back and regret missing out on originally, it would have to be Tatanka. The combination of that big blade and Powerlock is just incredible looking.

Hands down the Tuff. See also: Tatanka, Manix 2 XL.

Not super big, but GB1 is the sturdiest Spyderco I've ever used. More so than the Manix 2 XL. I think that the Szabo was built the same way as the GB1, so I would expect it to be very sturdy as well.

Don´t underestimate the sabre grind Endura: Long, extremely strong blade (and tip).
Even a bit more so than an H1 Pac Salt, cause the Endura has a "true" (and pretty low) sabre grind, the Pac Salt hollow sabre (which I personally actually prefer by a lot, but we´re talking sturdiness here).
But of course also what you call "plastic handle" ;) (I call it FRN, the best handle material imo, with sturdy steel liners... ;) )

Unless you get the stainless steel handle sabre grind Endura (just the old ones had hollow sabre) - a real beast.

This isn't the largest, but in the spirit of the Tatanka and its power lock, the Chinook 4 is decently large and sturdy too.

Tuff has the right balance of size, steel and sturdiness with a 3V steel blade, blade length of 3.7” and blade thickness of 0.157”. Presentation side is G-10 over steel liner and the lock side is titanium. Unfortunately, it was discontinued quite a while ago.

Recently announced bodacious looks sturdy. If you're really a penny pincher you could get the Resilience. 4.2" sharpened edge length is hard to beat among current models.

While I do not yet own any Manix 2XL or Bodacious, they look like very solid knives. I plan to pick up a couple of each.

The Native Chief is also very good, and I own around 10 of them so far. Not a rattle in any one of them.
