Just in case we have any college football fans out here!
I believe this will be a very interesting year.
Although, I don't like the direction that college football is heading in,(Super Conferences) I still like to watch it.
Especially with Deion Sanders at Colorado this season. I've always felt that Sanders really knows what he's doing. I'm a big fan of Deion Sanders.
Just one really big upset in week 1, Duke clobbered Clemson 28-7.
I'm really hoping that Carolina has a great season.
I also pull for Tennessee.
As for the FSU-LSU game, I'm still not high on Florida State. I feel many, many, teams could've defeated LSU. Imo, the Tigers are really week at the QB position. I'm remember the Daniels kid really struggling under Herm Edwards when he was at Arizona State. Btw, surely this has to be that kids final year of eligibility.....seems like he's been around for 10 years lol....

When I heard about the Colorado TCU game, I recorded the replay and watched it. Great game. Looks like Colorado is finally Prime Time.

Hoping Colorado has a great year and the guys at Spyderco are stoked enough to put out a Colorado Buffalo knife. Gold anodized Ti framelock Military with a DLC blade works for me. Neon Deion would like the bling.

I am glad to see Sanders doing so well and against a team that played for the championship last year. Pretty good.

Alabama came out swinging, as did Tennessee and Samford. Very happy.

I don’t really follow college football too closely but I did happen to watch the Colorado vs. TCU game last weekend and it was a good game. It was cool to see Deion Sanders and the team get the win. Especially with two of his kids on the roster. Shedeur Sanders looked great at QB and Travis Hunter was an absolute force to reckoned with out there! I’ll probably try to watch some more Colorado games just to keep watching those two.

The NCAA is just a joke to be honest. The governing body that is....
Especially after the ruling that they gave Carolina on Tez Walker.
When Mack Brown goes "scorched earth" on the NCAA, then ya know its bad. Real bad.
The NCAA ruled Walker ineligible to play this season. There's a whole story to it.
It will make you shake your head in disbelief...

Colorado continues to impress. Especially Shedeur Sanders.

I read up on the Tez Walker thing. That's some weapons grade stupidity. The NCAA needs to to be either eliminated or totally reformed.

I'm also feeling for Doc Dan after last weekend. I'm holding my breath because it looks like it's going to be a rough season for the SEC. Hopefully the Tide recover and Saban pulls them back together for the rest of the season.

I'll never understand why Saban didn't bench that QB & play #15 Ty Simpson
Ty Simpson is a red shirt Freshman & throws a beautiful pass!
He looked better than anyone in the Alabama Red & White game or A Day or whatever it was - the Spring game that is.
Ty Simpson hails from West Tennessee- I've saw him play in high school. The kid is phenomenal.

Down 28-20 with 48 seconds left, it looked like Colorado State was going to upset Colorado and then Colorado went all Sugar Ray Leonard on them.

Helll yeah! I stayed up until 230am eastern time watchin it!
Ya just knew Colorado was gonna get beat!
Especially with just a hair over 2 minutes left, and starting on their own 2 yard line, Colorado needed to go 98 yards for a touchdown AND a 2 point conversion.....and they did!
The rest as they say is history!
Colorado went on to win in Double Overtime 43-35
Ya know, I remember tellin my wife that all that publicity in Boulder, especially with all the celebrities there was a HUGE distraction and it may cost Colorado the game. But, give CU credit, and especially Shedeur Sanders (2) as he went "Brady Mode" in that 98 yard drive. (His words)
One heckuva game.

AL played like a high school team against So. FL.

Auburn (SEC) beat Samford. Normally I'd be for the SEC team, but not at all in this case. I was a bit surprised at Samford's poor showing.

I was a lot more surprised at TN's bad performance against FL. That was embarrassing. They are better than that. But, I can console myself with the fact that they are rebuilding after penalties and years of bad coaching and management.

I really hope Saban settles on Ty Simpson (15)
Simpson can get it done. He's just needs more playing time.
If he goes with Jalen Milrose then the season is a bust. Plain and simple.

I sure did. Oregon (as expected) dominated the entire game.

Oregon may be legit contenders this season..

Mercy, what a game!
Ohio State defeats Notre Dame as time expires!
The Irish defense played absolute lights out all night.....just a shame they lost this game.

It's interesting that when Colorado went 1-11 in 2022, they actually did _better_ against Oregon.

2022 score: 49-10. (Oregon by 39 points) (https://www.espn.com/college-football/g ... /401404030)
2023 score: 42-6. (Oregon by 36 points) (https://www.espn.com/college-football/g ... /401524015)

I think that Oregon is for real. It'll be interesting to see how the final days of the Pac-12 play out. Oregon, Utah and USC could all be contenders. It's a shame that the conference is disintegrating when it looks like it has some really top flight teams this year.

If they had put 11 players on the field, the defense might have pulled it out at the end.
