Ha Ha All,

Promise I’ll let you know when I come across them, but this forum will likely be all over it before I am!

Going to be a great addition to the Spyderco line and my pocket, :grin-big eyes I suspect the same for many others as well.

I am still looking forward to that knife, but tbh: The Goddard sprint pretty much gives me already what I want in a Chief LW, and perhaps even more for my personal preferences (Goddard: I figure an a bit stronger tip and a (for me!) better choke up area than the deep Native choil)

What would definitely bring me back to the Chief LW though: Teeth, but I can´t see a serrated version on the Spyderco site - ?!
Will there be one (Chief LW SE)?
Top three going by pocket-time (update March 24):
- EDC: Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10); Wayne Goddard PE (4V), Endela SE (VG10)
-Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), and also Wayne Goddard PE (4V)

CE and SE.

I don't recall if you've used BD1N in SE, but it works well. I've used it a lot in the form of a SE Z cut I've been using at work since they came out. Very easy to get to a high level of sharpness, and seems pretty tough even in the ZCuts super thin geometry.

Thanks, Vivi! Don´t know why I missed or forgot that... :woozy

This will make me get a Chief LW no doubt - in SE and perhaps also CE (since I do like my combo edge ffg Endura (thin red line) surprisingly well).

And yes, I have some experience with BD1N in SE: I gave one Spydie that is definitely not among my favorites a fair chance, and in the configuration that should suit me the most: A Para 3 LW in SE. Had it for a month or so, did not sharpen it a lot of course, but still can tell that BD1N in SE is good!!! (And BD1 N generally anyway : Really liked it in my PE Manix LW)

WooHoooo!!!!

They’re (they are) here! :winking-tongue

I’ve picked up all the uncoated plain edge versions to date.

Does anyone know the hardness for the BD1N? I picked up a UKPK BD1N when it first came out, wondering if the heat treat will be the same? Hope they go a little harder.

Oh, buying direct from Spyderco? No thanks, Spyderco has worse prices than literally any retailer.
