The only non-Spyderco knife that I sometimes carry is the Benchmade Mini-Griptilian D2 Cabella's edition... I like it...

I always pair one of my Spyderco knives with a Skeletool CX (Two Spydercos when at work, one in jeans after work). Very versatile pairing. I've since included a Hinderer Investigator pen and Casey Lynch pry tool as standard carry.

I feel your pain...I've been struggling with some health issues myself for the last several years...something that no specialist seems to be able to pin down, and I've been on heavy steroids as a result because they seem to be the only thing that has any effect. They've made me able to work again which is good because I need to work, but long term usage of said steroid isn't good for one's system and I've tried about every other option. Prednisone isn't a long term solution for someone as young as me...it's quite the opposite, but short term it seems to be the only thing that does anything. I do need to EDC for my work, but I do feel for you though. I was pretty messed up before going on Prednisone (And the half dozen other drugs I've unsuccessfully tried since), and before the Prednisone I was in more than a sorry state. I couldn't do anything and as such my fine Spydies were useless to me. I hope you find something that works to make you better.

Most often it's a CRKT, my second favorite brand. Sometimes a Buck Marksman or Fällkniven U2 (I am Swedish after all :) )

I usually carry a Farmer or Pioneer. I bought a 111mm Forester a few weeks ago, and I am liking it more than I thought I would. It is a larger locking Farmer with corkscrew, tweezers and toothpick.

It dangles comfortably in the LFP with the Victorinox belt clip.

Interestingly, blade length, cutting edge, overall length and handle length is exactly the same as the Stretch.

The only non Spyderco folders I've bought recently are the Hinderer designed Zero Tolerance knives.
The 562 has a much better build quality, but I prefer the hand size of the 560.
