Nice pics. How do you like that thumb stud? The stud on my Falcon is a flat, crosshatched disc, and it tears up my thumb with any amount of extended use. That one looks like it would be easier on the thumb.

Yup, so good so far. Its not been bad st all really.

Nice pics!

I've recently discovered Al Mar. I was impressed by them. My Aus8 blades were very sharp out of box. My zdp blades were not as sharp??

How was your knife's factory sharpness?

ZDP-189 not as sharp as I thought it should be.....

Congrats on that nice looking Al Mar! I too recently scored an Al Mar knife, but one's that more than 20 years old, they're great knives.

I have been looking at a SERE 2000 for quite a while now. I always wanted a Shrike until I found out the pocket clip is mounted for tip down only and I wouldn't have one now.I looked at the SERE at SMKW and didn't like it because of the way the handle flares out but may have to re visit it and take a closer look.
