View First New Post and View Latest Post not updating

Not sure whether this is a browser cookies issue (latest FF on Win7) or a forum software glitch, but on threads that have been active since before the conversion, the View First New Post and View Latest Post buttons both take me to a post made sometime before the conversion, no matter how many times the thread has been posted to and how many times I've viewed it since the conversion.
Also, I'd be curious as to whether the re-posting of the thread's title on every post made to a thread is something that can be switched off and, if it can, whether more of my fellow members find it helpful or just an annoying waste of page space.
