Ultimate Spyderco SD Blade

Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best Spyderco defensive blade available right now. I still have the Police 3 at the top of my list.

The one you would feel the most comfortable putting into somebody in such a manner. For me, for some reason the Endura series is kind of made for said things with that thumb ramp lol.

The Chinook probably would be my choice though.

I would think the Civilian ranks pretty high up there.

I would think anything with a hawk blade would be particularly dangerous.

"superhawk"...heavy cutter/slasher, with good piercing potential.

Reverse s blades..."matriarch", "civilian",best blades design for deep heavy cuts.

"Chinook","manix"1...above average belly for cutting, great peircing blades.

Just to name a few, most 3''+ spyderco would serve well in sd purpose.
Because they are reliable and well crafted blades with good geometry.

Currently available, without doubt it is the Warrior.

Discontinued would be Gunting and Karambit.

Street Beat? Warrior is great, but I'm probably more likely to have a SB on me.

My choices would be...

Folder : Chinook 3 (3" or under: Lil' Temperence)
Fixed : Warrior

But .. there of plenty of other awesome blades in their inventory (past & present) that are GREAT self defense pieces.

I'd say the Street Beat, Fred knows his stuff and I don't think I would trust any folding knife as a dedicated SD knife.

:spyder: My main piece of late is the PPT, my all time fave is the yojimbo but I'll carry a kris, big persian, chinook II, endura hawk, harpy, baby manix, ATR(best clip ever!), waved endura, civvie, superhawk or dodo if of a mood, and a pikal if I'm in a bad mood and lack compassion. I don't feel at all undergunned with a d3 or d4 or caly jr.but it's not the size of the knife but the size of the fight in the man that matters. (and skill, don't skimp on training if'n yer gonna carry a knife for protection, and know how to articulate yourself in court! Don't win on the street just to loose in court! ) :spyder:
