Wasn't sure I wanted to mess with it, mostly because of the price of the thing, but for me it has made it so much more useable that it was worth it.

That Chokwe looks great, but what does it weigh? A couple pounds? I pick up my old Buck 112 and can't imagine carrying it.

Hey Jazz,

Truth to be told, I kinda dislike it with how it weigh. Since I really liked the Chokwe because it is lightweight :D
I don't have any weigh scales but I assume it is 200 grams (about the weigh of the Szabo folder)

Is that Cuscadi work? Or did you do it yourself? :)

Hi apollo,

I did the scales for the Stretch and Manix myself. I can't justify the price of Cuscadi scales, but at $6 a set for G10 and less for Micarta, I can easily afford to make my own scales. I use a drill press, a band saw, and a belt sander plus some hand tools. It takes about 3 to 4 hours of work per set of scales, but it is really fun to do.

Thanks guys! Next I am working on green micarta for a Cruwear Manix and white linen with a copper bolster for a Native 5. When the Roc comes in, it gets purple scales. Weird knife = weird scales, right? :D
