lets keep thread this thread strictly for new pics of fake :spyder: s (no chit chat) so newbies don't have to read through 10 pages to figure out if a knife is fake or not. got this idea from gtrtech's thread.

Man, that Gunting is very passable to the untrained eye, as well as that caly 3, but the S30V gives it away, but someone could believe it was a custom of some sort..

I thinks actually an UKPK knockoff - no lock on back and UKPK is S30V - and its a really good copy. There is another thread where a guy bought one and couldnt really tell.

The wire clip on the UKPK is also a dead giveaway for a fake.

Unfortunately, that's not really true, at least not when looking at a photograph. Lighting can make the clip of a real UKPK, and any of the other Spydercos which share that clip, look like bright steel in a photo. Especially if the knife is brand new or has been wiped down with a rust preventative. Right now, the lack of clip cutouts on the left handle slab is the most certain sign of a fake. Just have to hope whoever is making them doesn't figure that out.

It is a very very good fake, but a fake nonetheless. Let's hope they don't figure out the clip isn't reversible, otherwise we might have a very serious problem.
[CENTER]Dearly wishing for a H1 Military. And a M4 Military. Add in an old school 52100 Military with wood scales while you're at it.

Keep the curved RH TD clip please!
