I think I posted this on the wrong forum before:

I’ve been assuming that when the “o” in “Spyderco” looks like a donut instead of an “o”, that it is fake.
Can someone clue me in? Thanks!

Looking at the “o”, is this fake?
Seems like it is a fake yes, maybe you could share some other pictures with us ? The blade finish and G10 are what jumped to my eyes first.
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

Thanks Ramonade…..that was an EBay auction sale that I just happened to see, didn’t buy it. That donut “o” just looked bad to me.

Hey everyone,

I’m new here, wondering if you could tell me if this micarta shaman in z-wear looks legit to you or not. Thank you. Everything looks/seems 100% legit except the v-shape cutout that’s visible on the bug logo when I zoom way, way in. Is that the telltale sign of a genuine knockoff, or was there some small margin of error that would legitimately make one look that way. Thank you again!

I feel like this is the final mail in the coffin as the pieces of the symbol don’t touch at the top of the triangle…

Hi, kdwalter:
Welcome to our forum. The number on the blade is a Collector's Club number. From what I can see, your knife appears to be authentic.

We hope you enjoy your time with us!

Hi, Zannabianca:
It's a little tough to tell from your pictures. Depending on how old your other Delicas are, there have been a great number of changes to the Delica over the years. Your best bet would be to send pictures (well-lit, close-up, and zoomed out to include the full knife) to our Warranty & Repair Department. They see more counterfeits than anyone and are current on details that we may not be. Please email customerservice@spyderco.com.

Welcome to our forum! We hope you enjoy your time with us!

I already wrote and they said they don't make it from photos. I thought they would know if they make etched or printed logos on new Delica and if the shape of logo is right

Thank you, maybe can you tell me why there is such a huge difference between two identical knife models?

I would honestly be pretty surprised. Fakes of Sprint runs are pretty rare, but it’s possible. Those markings do look different from mine which I’m about 99% sure is authentic. Not the best pics (my phone is old), but maybe they’ll help

they tell me that both of these knives are real, but how can there be such a difference in the processing of the spyderhole?

Just by looking I think the one on the left is counterfeit - but I'm no expert. Can always show us more pics of other markings on the blades.
