I'm really happy to hear that this event will be happening, as well as for all of the participants, even though I will never attend it myself. Hoping for a great experience for all involved!

We are fully booked, including our reserves list, so I'm closing the registration. Thank you for all the enthusiasm!

Would anyone who got a spot and who ultimately can not attend, be so kind to remember to cancel? 🙏

The policy has bin there for longer then the first time i went to amsterdam.
I was able to go 3 times and no one ever had problems with these rules.
Also atleast to my knowledge there is no problem with making pictures with the people you meet during the lunch hour in the restaurant if you want pictures to remember the day that is the time and place. (so outside of the room with the prototypes! ) that is also the time you can meet and talk to Eric if you want. I have seen people asking and getting selfies with Eric and the first time i went even with Sal during that lunch hour.
So the rules are simple. And as a reward you get a bag full of stuff and there also always bin a knife in there so its a small thing following these rules to have a great time and get a spydie afterwords.
Also
Please my friend, take all the joy you can there for me !
And if there is a next year, I'll organize better and we could be able to meet !

Does anyone know if pups are allowed at the Amsterdam Meet? Also are there any carpool slots left unfilled from BXL vicinity? I'd be more than happy to pay for gas or electricity (not your utilities bills though :cheap-sunglasses )

The hotel website sais pets are not allowed.
Doesn't specify if that's only for guestrooms or for the entire hotel

Thank you both for confirming that, I was hoping someone from Spyderco could verify if a well-behaved (5yo) pup on leash would be allowed at the meet itself? I really have nowhere to put him during my absence. For a room I was looking at a more central location anyway. Perhaps local law enforcement could be persuaded to accommodate him in one of their kennels for a bit?

It looks like pets aren’t allowed at all. It is common in most hotels. You can always give them a call. I know for sure that local law enforcement won’t allow that so that’s not an option

Thanks for your help Tommie, sounds like I'll have to make other arrangements. If all else fails I guess there's a golden ticket up for grabs.

My moms came over yesterday, officially to tend to my bum knee but really to try my Jamaican rum. She volunteered to doggysit the pup at my house for a couple days while I'm away. Love you mom!
And so it begins...

Man....I know we're all excited, and I know this request is futile, but if everyone could resist quoting huge posts with 20 pics each once Wouter's thread starts, that would be so fantastic.

🤣

I’m most interested to see what kind of previews we get of knives that weren't in the Reveal v12 catalog!

If Spyderco allows note-taking, as someone enjoying the event vicariously through the forum, I know I’d love to hear about anything noteworthy!!!
