It is very much a very nice knife. No regrets.

I have the Stovepipe for a week now and also no regrets whatsoever. it’s an unique and stunning folder true to the original “Bill the Butcher” design from artist Dave Rydbom. The design, craftsmanship, materials and machining that went into this folder is just amazing and the forms and contours in their shapes are very harmonious and well balanced in my opinion.

It was love at first sight when I saw the Stovepipe folder and thus far I’m not disappointed in any way.

Definitely a sweet blade. If I wasn't paying for a root canal next week, I'd invest in one. Sad to have to pass on it.

^ I think these will be in stock for some time, as they are a regular production model like the Drunken.

The dealer that I ordered from still shows it as in stock more than a week after their initial email. This may mean that supply has finally caught up with demand.

How are people liking their $600 Stovepipe after a couple months of (ab)use?

I’m still loving it. I paid $420 by the way but it is worth it imho. The Stovepipe is definitely a piece of art with respect to the shape, contours, simplicity, materials, grinding and machining that went into it. The Stovepipe handles and functions very well and is incredibly sharp.

The form, fit and function is of course subjective but for me it was love at first sight and it’s still my daily carry.

It is still part of my rotation. I paid less than $420 for it because I used my rewards points from KSF.

Anyone have both a Stovepipe and a Techno 2? I’m curious how they look side by side. I keep thinking the Stovepipe is larger than it actually is…

Here you go. The Stovepipe is larger than the Techno 2, though they do have the same handle thickness.

They’re the same thickness on the front end by the pivot, but the Stovepipe is definitely thicker in the back end where the scales are contoured.

How does das "hump" near the tip feel in te pocket? Seems like it would snag something easily. The fit and finish seems Nirvana level so it looks like another masterpiece from spyderco. Great job Sal & co it is so spectacular what you all can get to the market. If i am honest its not my cup of tea but i hope many will love the knife.

I find it fits really small in my pocket since it's really short. I can push it all the way to the side and it's good. Just in regular jeans.

I haven't had the "horn" snag on anything during carry. Some videos suggest that it could be used for wave-like deployment, but I've never been able to do this even when trying. I do wear slacks and sweat pants though, so it may work better with jeans.

The Stovepipe is only about 2 mm taller than a Manix 2 in closed position. It fits fine in my pocket, alongside a cellphone or keys.

Just got my new Stovepipe today. I liked the design when I first saw it… but the price was just too high for me to jump. Then last week True Shot Gun Club had a 20% off all knives sale. My first thought was “a percentage sale… what’s the most expensive they have?” And there was the Stovepipe. 20% off… that’s $84 off… had to do it.

My example looks and feels perfect.

The Stovepipe fit and finish seem very cool. For the people who have both, how does the fit and finish compare to the Slysz Bowie ?

I got mine a few days ago. I like it. Fit and finish are impeccable.
