So many Wolf of Wall Street references that I broke down and am watching it now. Didn't realize that DiCap could pull off comic acting, pretty darned funny. It feels like I'm watching a spoof of "Goodfellas."

I may have slightly misjudged this. I thought Sal would just show up at our meeting to get the official Sprint run decision. Do we mail him? Email?

We all know you play strip pinochle and smoke cigars with Sal, Gail and Eric on Saturday nights. Why not just ask then? You know, if Mohammad can't get to the mountain, then take the mountain to Mohammad.

I know one thing, if we ever get a forum knife and it does not have THE logo hidden somewhere on it I will be very dissappointed.

Although he's very humble about it, #0005 is in the inner circle of virtually everything that's important. He's been spotted in the U.N. building, at Davos, and hanging out with Harry and Meaghan. Taylor Swift calls him for advice at least twice a week. There was recently a photo of #0005 in the NYT, where he's in the oval office, snoozing in a chair directly opposite from Prez. Biden (also snoozing). Sometimes #0005 carries the nuclear football, when the regular guy has a hangover or can't find his shoes. We're very fortunate to have him on our team.

Sorry for being off topic (if it's possible to be off topic in this thread) but a story about finding things. Went for a hike with my wife yesterday to the top of a 10K foot mountain. You can imagine my excitement when, on a harrowing segment of trail, I found this cool safety pin! In good shape, too. You never know when a safety pin is going to come in handy so I picked it up and it became my prize find from the trip.

Later on the hike, my wife found this stag handled knife lying on the ground.

…anyway, my safety pin is in really good condition, probably tin coated, hardly any rust, and the point of it is still sharp. Good click in and out of its safety catch. I can imagine being very happy to have found such a prize on the trail at some point in the future, when used to secure a flapping strap or to pin up a sock to dry.

My wife has pointed out several times, at this juncture, that it's the knife that she found. I offered to carry it down the mountain but she said no, it was hers, she'd carry it herself. My wife is a fun, pleasant, and generous person, but after she found the knife she really got into personal boundaries all of a sudden, saying some hurtful things like: "You have enough knives, this one is mine." So I didn't share my safety pin with her, either.

Once home, I asked her if I could see her knife. She said, "Yes, you can SEE my knife" in a tone of voice I didn't like. Next thing I knew she sent me the picture of it posted above. I told her no, I want to look at your knife. "Look as much as you want, you have a picture of it," she said. Later, when she stepped out on an errand, I ransacked the house, but could not find it. So judging by the picture, it appears to be a Muela, a Spanish knife.

I have been wearing my safety pin on my collar all day long just to cheese-off my wife. She just looks at me and sniggers, so I don't know what she's thinking exactly...she's probably green with envy over my safety pin.

Man oh man what a find! Let us know what you think after a few weeks of EDC and when the honeymoon phase is over with the pin. I'm curious to the edge retention on that thing. What a precise tip on it though. Do you think you will go with a coarse finish on the tip or fine? Also, on the ergos, it looks like it has an undefined pinky hook near the locking device. Not sure you are going to like that but hard use will tell you one way or the other.

Try locking down a cloth diaper with that ol stag knife! Nah, gimme that sweet safe-t-pin. For me personally I'd go high grit polish on that tip, less chance of snagging the silk on a tie or pocket square and offer a little corrosion resistance incase I needed to heat it up to pop a blister.
