The Stretch looks awesome, and especially with the original clip. Thanks for sharing.
- best wishes, Jazz.
Re: Show your mods!
Is that clear/jade linerless??? If so what do I have to do to get some of those scales made? I would LOVE to have a lightweight/linerless Stretch!! Replace that lanyard hole with a wire clip.
Re: Show your mods!
a friend made this for me. I can't wait for that rumored copper chapparal :p
Re: Show your mods!
Wow, those last two mods are really nice! I thought the copper was wood at first.

Re: Show your mods!
Hey guys,
I received my Rubicon, and loved almost everything about it, except one thing.
The backspacer caused severe hot spots in my palm while deploying and closing the blade. The 90° points protruding above the scales and liners were just way too sharp. Also, the section at the butt end was pure torture.
I chamfered these points at 45°, and now its so much more comfortable.
I know it's.hard to see in the pic, but it makes all the difference in the world.
Thanks for looking!

Don

Thanks guys!
Here is a wharnified Bob T. Slipit. The tip was broken off (who knows how) and I picked it up at the SFO seconds sale for $10. (It is the bottom knife in the picture; the top one is a stock B.T. Slipit, which was $40 at the seconds sale.)

That's awesome, probably the best $10 ever spent on a knife I think. I really wish those knives came with a lock, I love the design.

Re: Show your mods!
Thanks! The non-locking mechanism is actually pretty strong. I thought it was stuck when I first opened it! The half stop is also very tight. Although it works for me as a light-to-medium duty EDC, I think that a backlock version would sell very well. My only complaint is that the recessed clip design leaves an extremely ugly divot on the presentation side.
Maybe someday we will see a back lock BT Slipit with G10, no exterior lanyard hole, and a normal (not recessed) clip.

Re: Show your mods!
It would be nice if the recessed clip spot came with a filler piece like Hinderer and others use, even if it does mean you end up with screws on that side. They could be counter sunk and flush I suppose.GoldenSpydie wrote:Thanks! The non-locking mechanism is actually pretty strong. I thought it was stuck when I first opened it!
