Hunting and fishing related pics (and stories)
The only thing I like better than hunting and fishing pics is hunting and fishing pics with knives in them. :). I thought it would be nice to have a designated thread for everyone to post their pics and stories. And I know this is the picture thread, but a good story with the pic always makes it better in my book. Let's see if this takes off.
I'll kick it off with a nice corvina I got from my kayak today.

Once I figure out how to post pictures, I'll post some with some whitetails I've harvested and how my spydies have helped!

Create a Photobucket account, upload your pictures there and copy the IMG link that comes up next to the photo. Paste that in a comment and you're set! Gabon lance, where is your PAC salt?
Re: Hunting and fishing related pics (and stories)
Went fishing in the mountains near Golden BC earlier this fall. Wasn't very successful in the fishing department, but the scenery was breathtaking at some points.

Yeah, and we need the hunters to catch on. I'd love to see some deer, elk, rabbit, duck, shots...whatever. What, nobody owns a gun on this forum?! :DHolland wrote:I can tell already that this is going to be one of my favourite threads :D

Lol. I have plently of guns, but have had very little time to use them lately. (I literally have five new long guns that I haven't even had a chance to shoot yet). :o FWIW, my father-in-law just shot a nice 9-point whitetail last weekend during Indiana's opening day of firearm season. My wife will likely shoot something before the end of season. I'll post some pics when I can.Surfingringo wrote:Yeah, and we need the hunters to catch on. What I like most on those pics is when the fish meat has been take off using the knife. I also love to cook the fish meat, if that was mine lol.
Use pepper spray to get people out of the area.

Going to hopefully pull some Kokanee through the ice on Monday. I'll get some pics with Spydies in them then. :D

I'm tripping to NYC next week so I won't be on the mount (either fishing or hunting) until my return!
Funny tread!

Dang Darby, I always love those ice fishing pics. Believe it or not even though I'm the one in the tropics those pics always look exotic to me. I could see that being a great adventure! Almost makes me want to buy a pair of shoes!!

Re: Hunting and fishing related pics (and stories)
I hear ya travvy. It is all what you're used to. Fishing in Florida is out of this world. I am a Floridian myself in some ways. I was born in Sarasota and have spent a lot of my childhood in the Lakeland area bass fishing. I still have family down there. I also spent a lot of my life in New York up on the Canadian border and going six months without fishing wasn't an option for me so I learned to love ice fishing. I actually thrive on winter and love it to death. I function very well until it gets down around -30F and then I usually stay home. I have a lot of very nice winter gear. Boots and gloves have come a long way since I was a kid so it has honestly gotten easier.
