I placed my pre-order 5/9/11 at CS. Never heard anything. I still want one. I don't have grail knives so if it never happens. oh well.

In Howes latest newsletter, they said that they just received a few. Of course, they are going towards fulfilling pre orders, but it's nice to know that there are some rolling out nonetheless.

Hearing that some of the retailers were getting these in was putting a smile on my face but now seeing all of you guys waiting so long make me think my pre order will never come thru.

5 minutes after I wrote this this morning I got an email that another retailer had it in stock and I jumped on it. If anyone wants, I'd still pay for my other if it ever comes in and I'll sell it to whoever wants it.
...I have no knives I keep in a safe but there are one or two that don't leave the house...

you don't need to be. I'm on a pre order list and my place never called me so they either didn't get one or didn't get enough to fill my order as well. No contact or anything. Seeing that some guys are waiting over a year, I have to assume I'm way down on the list. However I got an email this morning from another site that I had chosen to notify me (not even 2 weeks ago) and when one came in ...they sent out the blast email and I got my order in.
