It's not just in my head, it's in my heart.

I'm part of the younger crowd, but I'd say my most played this week in my itunes car playlist would be. Killin em - Chris Webby, Keep On - Eric Church, No Sleep Wiz Khalifa, and Almost There - Chris Webby. I wouldn't recommend these songs unless you like rap/hip-hop or have an open mind about music :)
Edit: Keep On - Eric Church isn't rap, haha it's country. Also I'd like to add Roger That - Chris Webby. Good artist inside his genre (rap/hip-hop)
Edit 2: Add Macklemore to the list. Terrific artist, more a poet to be honest.
Edit 3: Sail - Awolnation

By The Time WE Got To Woodstock....
My mother was JANIS JOPLIN, my dad was Frank Zappa  Yeah it's the Woodstock era for this ol boy :D Try listening to Jimi Hendrix play his version of "Wild Thing" at the Monterey Pop Festival on YOUTUBE where he burns his guitar as a finale
I go back to the days of Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Ten Years After, Mott The Hoople, & T Rex.
I do like some of the newer stuff like Kidd Rock, Nickelback, REM, Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails. But being raised on the Beatles & the Stones puts you in a genre you're not willing to leave very easily. Enough Said>>> Now go put on that old BLIND FAITH album :D

Lately, it's been mostly Pink Floyd at home and CCR in the truck.

Ho Deacon, Pink Floyd for me too. Really like them. :DThe Deacon wrote:Lately, it's been mostly Pink Floyd at home and CCR in the truck.
In addition to Steely Dan, The Cure, Jethro Tull, Blue Oyster Cult, Judas Priest, and oh, Adele(sheepish grin here).

I'm all over the place with music. I go through phases where I listen to a tonne of one style of music and then something else will get in my head and so I will move onto that...and it covers pretty much everything except Top 40. I think that Top 40 right now is about the worst, most boring, generic crap ever to have been Top 40.
But other than that I listen to Jazz, Classic Rock, Metal, EBM and Darkwave, Blues, Goth, 80's, Punk, Classical.
Right now I am listening to the new Scroobius Pip and a lot of classic punk like The Dead Boys and The Clash with a little bit of Iggy and The Stooges thrown in.

NPR, Zao, Regina Spektor, Coheed and Cambria, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, & Jenny Lewis have all been on in the car lately. I was a big Snapcase fan and still listen to those CDs from time to time.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

You NEED to check out Vale Of Maya if you already haven't. I bought [id] and i seriously listen to it over and over everyday. It has pretty much ruined the rest of my collection because nothing i have compares.razorsharp wrote:hmm lets go through my list- Slipknot, Killswitch engage, Lamb of god, Children of bodom, Dream Theater, metallica, Arch enemy...as you may see, I'm a metal head :D
Other than that, i'm a HUUUUGE Between The Buried And Me fan.

All Else failed is to this day one of my favorite albums to crank up and rock in the car. They way it was produced just lends itself to sounding really crisp, even loud. It was recorded at Mars studio in Cleveland if I recall correctly. They used to play here a ton. Although I was not a fan of the message at their early time period.Evil D wrote:I would have bet every knife i own there wouldn't be another Zao fan on this forum. I'm impressed
