Polishing Se edges?

Polishing Se edges?

I hear people talking about polished Serrated edges...Do you just use a microfiber and some polish or are you guys doing it a diff way? I have one Delica 3 SE and would like to try it.

I think a lot of people are using leather shoe string or somthing similar. They apply the polish to the leather and polish each serration.

Leather shoestring/bootlace loaded up with your favorite stropping/polishing compound.

I've rigged a leather polishing wheel on my wet-wheel grinder. About 7" in diameter plywood wheel with a length of leather belt glued to it. I load it with polishing paste and use the edge of the wheel to polish each serration. Works great!

I have PSA backed 3M lapping film that sticks to the sharpmaker rods and really brings out the polish on SE and hawkbills. My finest grit is .05 microns, and the polish on my Superhawk's edge after that is very impressive.
