Great pic Salty! Really like the overall design of this one. Gets me excited for the Bodacious. Plus Vanax!
I hear QC has the fine details down very well. You still liking it?

Thanks Jeff 👊 it’s a fantastic knife and QC has some pretty tight tolerances…great slicer,100% corrosion proof and Vanax holds an edge for a long time so yes I’m still enjoying it so much so I just ordered the OG Waypoint. I would say it’s only downfall with me is the overall thinness of the handle, not gonna be a super hard user for extended periods of time, for that you’d need to look at the Drift LC 🤙

I love the thinness of the handle, especially with the tall blade.. Makes it unique and a superlight carry with the tasteful wireclip IMO. The original 2 Drifts just weren't quite right for me, but I think the L nailed it. This one is going to see a a lot of summer shorts carry.

ZT 0640 back with a custom hollow grind. Pretty excited about this one. Knife was bought used with a lynch clip. I heat colored the clip. Added a monster disc. Scales were basically free from the maker (blemished).

That turned out great! And looks pretty similar to mine from Big Chris. Who did your regrind? Looks so much better sterilized IMO!

Thanks abba! Love this model and could not wait to get some Micarta and change out the disc. BGMKnives did the regrind. When I saw he did hollow grinds it was over! Still has a stout tip, but way more reasonable. The 0640 for such a slim model probably had the thickest tip of all my knives. So thinner overall and with the hollow grind. I will say, your 0640 build is very inspiring. Never considered a regrind until I saw yours

Here is some HG love.

Grease and dirt? Starting to rain? Time to pull out the GEC Northfield Un-X-Ld 735208 Trapper in Almond Bone. Great feel, high spring tension, good working knife.

🙂

Beautiful!

I recently bought a GEC #23 Pioneer Trapper, the larger version of the #73, in what they call "woodland micarta". Still waiting for it to make the trip to the other side of the planet... I'll post a picture hopefully by next weekend.
