Re: Show your mods!
I have had no issues , And have done both styles of clips . I would suggest to be aware that using an extremely high range may could possibly damage a clip . I use a small refillable torch that uses butane . Apply heat to back side of clip to produce better results . I have found that older , thicker clips are more resistant to the process. Lynch clips are thicker and they actually use a higher heat range to achieve their industrial look from my amateur testing. MG2

Shout out to manixguy@1994, Dan , for the how to on the heat ano! Pictures don't do the colors justice, it looks so good i really like it but it could be more even so might redo it. Clearly one of the screws is paler then the other two 🫣 I see more clips getting this threatment in my future
And please feel free to criticize, happy to learn from others.

Re: Show your mods!
Looks great Paul ! I left my screws unheated so they match all the other screws , but that is a matter of personal choice . For your first attempt it looks outstanding. Swayback just got a lot better with the normal titanium clip.

The lanyard with a silver bead also gives it the best look in my opinion

Re: Show your mods!
Originally this is a DLT exclusive PM2 in M390 with red G10 scales. Swapped the scales for Flytanium Lotus Ti ones, customs Ti backspacer and heat ano'd deepcarry pocketclip.

Kinda hard to see in pictures, but I had John at BGM thin out a Siren for me. He did real nice work and fast to boot. Bye-bye makers marks — it’s a slicing machine now.

Re: Show your mods!
New micarta scales from RGT for the Kapara and LynchNW wireclip replacements.
Very comfortable and more grip in the hand.
Now to get my greasy hands on that micarta so it darkens!

Re: Show your mods!
Micarta scales from AWT.
The lanyard tube press from Sharp Dressed Knives worked well to pop out the tubes.
Natural canvas for a CS wharnie
OD green linen for the Smurf blue BBS M390
Fresh scales feel good! This blue PM2 was at one point my most used knife. It is hard to believe the first run was from 2011! The convex still performs well. She's ready for the next 13 years.

Re: Show your mods!
Just Rit Dyed my Manix and heat anodized all the SS hardware to as close to bronze as I could. First time heat anodizing anything and just went for it. I think it came out ok.
For comparison to how the knife started out.

Looks great! So glad manix comes with torx instead of pinned. I Also have the white MNX2LW in Rex 45 but with black blade. Ordered AWT magpul dark earth aluminum scales, will post when they arrive.

Starting work on a Tenacious.
Guy wants a wizard theme so i decided to go with the Death Eaters "Dark Mark" symbol.
Just roughing it out now.

15V Mule that I converted into a lightweight compression lock flipper. It has a liner less G10 handle construction, titanium lock bar with ceramic detent ball, phosphor bronze washers, steel pivot bushing, Cocobolo backspacer with press fit threaded connectors, and a titanium deep carry clip. The knife weighs just a hair under 80 grams, which is almost exactly what it originally weighed as a blade blank with no scales.
