Today I’m actually answering the thread by just showing my favorite spyderco blades I own. (3.5 Caly not here for sharpening)

With the lanyard, the Frontier First and the Stretch 2 XL have about the same usable grip area.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Nice pic, Mikey! We don't see the Zulu that often around here. That bulbous blade with gorgeous swedge is very nice... especially the way you set it up in that light.

Thanks, Enactive!

I'm glad Spyderco does these unusual collaborations with a variety of designers.

I was planning to wait until the New Year for my weekly change, but couldn't resist getting my Stretch XL into action today because I wanted a longer blade to slice up some chicken & ham.

This is one knife I'm really happy I decided to buy after quite a bit of looking and looking again. A fantastic combination of the CRU-WEAR steel and grey G-10 makes for a real winner in a big knife. Of course, many would disagree and love theirs more than the Stretch XL but, for me, it overtook the Military to the No. 1 spot as my favourite everyday large folder.

this picture makes it look like the stretch has less cutting edge than the pacific. is that just the angle? it's supposed to be slightly longer, right? can you post a full open side-by-side comparison?
Sorry LB, long a.. work week, 4 days felt like 10…it’s definitely the angle in top pic…the Stretch is slightly longer 👊
