Just saw that yesterday evening. Pretty tempted to get the Rockjumper. Too bad it's not the SE version that's discounted, it'd have been the cherry on the cake.

Edit : but also tempted to just make an order at Knifecenter. Even with the boatload of taxes, at least I'll get some discounts on the models I most want

Last week Lamnia had an anniversary 14% discount on everything. I got myself RJ. I wanted PE, but SE was also available. With the discount is was 89 Euro, which is ok, considering I got a free shipping.

I'm not sure if Lamnia saw the writing on the wall through poor sales or if it was just pure coincidence, but they had many of the models that were now disco'ed on sale back in January. I don't remember the exact discounts, but they were significant. I was on the fence about the RJ and some other models, but I just couldn't resist. The RJ PE specifically cost me just EUR 64 back then.

I was already over budget with my knife acquisitions when the anniversary sale was announced, and currency rates were abysmal at the time, so I settled with just a Benchmade Meatcrafter. I almost added it to an order from Knifecenter just weeks earlier, but glad I was able to resist as it ended up costing less from Lamnia. And still arrived just in time for my first hunting trip for the season.

Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't do more to spread the word. I don't read the "crazy good deals"-threads as they're mostly irrelevant for me, so I didn't think of posting it there. A European edition deals thread would make sense, I support that!

It's been a while since January, so my memory isn't very reliable as to how this went down, but I don't remember Lamnia making much fuzz about this specific sale. I believe I just stumbled across it looking for a potential first CE knife, of which the Thin Line models were amongst the ones being dumped.

Atlantic Salt lightweight was -- in my opinion -- the most drop-damage-resistant pocketknife in existence.
Hopefully just the steel flavor is changing.

I know it’s not in the list but any word on Maxamet Para 2’s? My buddy is looking for one and I can’t find one anywhere in stock even from them directly which he’d prefer because we get the Opfocus price which is significantly less. I have one and LOVE it and I’ve actually thought of getting a second one just to have as a nice keeper or a backup just in case something happened to my daily user. I know there’s been some who said they could see them ditching it for 15V as the king of the hill for ultra high wear steels since 15V isn’t as expensive or hard to work with. And possibly making Maxamet maybe a once in a blue moon sprint run steel. I assume it’s not a huge seller because of the price and not everybody wants or needs that extra insane hardness to justify the right $100 more for the same knife.

The Sliverax is the real sleeper that is disappearing. It is unlike many of their other offerings, so it likely gets passed by. But it is one of only their very few flippers available. And the grip feels much better than it looks like it would.

For those who live "on the edge", I would recommend one while they are available.

Lmao. The last time I posted in this thread, August 18, I had picked up a Sage 5 CF and a Chap CF and called it done. I've since added a wharnie K390 Delica and Endela and a medium grit benchstone.

Liking the Endela so much I'm wondering if I need anymore K390 wharncliffes before they start getting harder to find.
