Seems like it went quicker than the satin, good for CS. They’re one of my favorite Spyderco suppliers and I’m glad to see them do well. Here’s a plug for the XHP Satin Chief that is still available.

Wow, that was fast … glad I jumped.
Can anyone share insight on the number of pieces in this run?

Re: Cutleryshoppe exclusive?
It often varies, not all sprints are 1200 piece runs. This was an exclusive though, which have changed quite a bit in the past few years.
I believe the minimum number of pieces for exclusive orders used to be as low as 400 pieces but that limit was increased as demand grew. As far as I know Spyderco has never shared what the order limit was increased to but I imagine this exclusive was ordered during that period. As orders for exclusives increased, their production capacity was reaching its limits and they had to put a freeze on ordering exclusives all together. I believe the freeze for ordering is still active.
So basically, without knowing exactly, this run was definitely more than 400 pieces and most likely less than 2400 pieces.
