I was wondering if they were going to use XHP or S90V...looks like their slapping everyone with the ho hum version!

what's wrong with xhp? i haven't had any issues with it in my m2lw. to be fair though, my usage is pretty light and i don't mess around with reprofiling or anything.

XHP is fine, just middle of the road for an exclusive in my opinion. Especially when they have offered Rex45 and S90V in other exclusives over the past few years. Seems like a step back.

for someone like me, it would be better. i have no problem touching up xhp, but i'm not sure i'd want to mess with s90v.

Love XHP and the coated blade. The orange, not so much. However I'm still tempted.

Got one ordered!

I’m always surprised that the para 3 lightweights don’t seem more popular. They’re one of my favorite models. Really excited for this one with the orange scales and coated blade and hardware.

Edit: and it’s already shipped!

Got a good friend interested in knives. I've been pushing Spyderco, but he's been enamored with Microtechs. He has been a massive Bengals fans for as long as I have known him. I passed along this sprint, and now he purchased his first of hopefully many Spydercos.

I like it! But I already have the satin version, so I’ll test my willpower and pass for now. If it was a UKPK though…

I pulled the trigger on one … wasn’t sure I would since I already have the P3LW in SPY27, but the color combo and XHP teetered me off the fence.
I also shared the link with 2 friends - one’s a die hard knife guy, but not a Spydie freek (yet), the other is just starting to dip his toe in …

Oh yeah that would have been a done deal for me. I'm curious why none of the domestic knife vendors ever do a UKPK. I'd get everyone.

I used to not like the orange until I got a Spyderhawk. Looks good in person. I'll get a Para3 lw one of these days. The ones I want always seem to come out when there's something else I want more.
