Re: What percentage of your knives are spyderco?
When I got sucked down into the wrist watch rabbit hole, one thing I learned rather quickly is that it’s perfectly OK to engage in creative accounting for enthusiast items.
For instance you can claim to have a 3- or 5 piece watch collection and simultaneously be transparent about owning a handful of G-shocks that aren’t counted.
Not sure how this translates to knives, but there’s obviously a similar mechanism.
I have a semi updated list of all my spyderco’s, and after some last minute editing, adding the ones I know from the top of my head wasn’t already in the list, my current number i 26.
3 are bought as dedicated giveaways, though when and who is still up in the air, so not sure how I count them :)
There’s no such list for my other brand knives, so I’ll guesstimate those to be in the 15-20 ballpark. Not counting Mora’s, kitchen knives etc.
Based on the above, my “creative accounting” percentage of Spyderco’s is approx. 60%

Folders 94%
Fixed and Kitchen 0%
I will be diversifying my folders going forward supporting other brands. Too many touchy feely vibes here on the forum which is a major turn off. You cant be honest or critical with being modded by the ministry of truth.

Shaman for me actually. It's more limited in steel choices but I really enjoy its size and ergos for my work. I've got all the steel flavors available aside from 204p... Hoping for more in the future!
Re: What percentage of your knives are spyderco?
I have more Spyderco's than any other brand...
I have knives from Grandparents and random crap from being a kid.
So.. Out of total knives owned 45% / 70 % something like that.

I don't have a percentage, because I've never counted all my knives, and I probably never will. But I own more Spyderco knives by far than any other brand. Followed by Victorinox.

Around 50%.
They make up all my folders besides multitools and a couple sentimental slip joints.
I have some zcuts and small fixed blades too.
Machetes, axes, choppers, large fixed blades in general, chef knives (I've got 7), swiss army and leatherman style multitools.....those are all different brands.

All of them that I have purchased. I stopped buying anything else a long time ago. I still have two others that were gifts, and I keep them only for that reason.

See for yourself:
Re: What percentage of your knives are spyderco?
If I had to estimate a percentage, probably about 95-97% of all of the knives I own are Spyderco.
This thread is actually a good reminder that I still have some non-Spyderco’s that need to be sold!

Re: What percentage of your knives are spyderco?
I have a lot of old junk knives and budget knives, I have a lot of custom fixed blades, and I have my EDC folders. Of my EDC folders, about 11 knives, 10 of them are Spyderco.

Re: What percentage of your knives are spyderco?
Folders: 99.999% (except for a 6 SAKs, 1 Leatherman wave, CK&T Bengal karambit and an old case with bird gutting hook). Spyderco is our go to knife for EDC.
Fixed: 65% (most by LT Wright, 4 Cold Steel, 1 Mora, and 1 Helle). With my Zoomer and Sospes tied as favorite field knives.

Re: What percentage of your knives are spyderco?
Folders 99% Spyderco with one CRK Mnandi
Fixed blade 1 Spyderco (junction) of say 20-30 fixed knives which are mostly custom made or discontinued
Throw mules into the mix I have 7 with handles and 7 waiting for handles and will keep collecting them when I can…
I make my own fixed blades now, so probably wouldn’t buy too many more knives. As spending money on tools and ingredients
The Xplorer collaboration is my next Spyderco folder
