Thank you! On certain models, like this one that angle is almost a must to get the whole knife to fit in the photo haha! I do try to switch it up with other angles sometimes because I know I go for the corners like this on most them and don't want to be THAT predictable...but it just seems to show the knife and a bit of the background so well that it's become my go to.

My thoughts exactly. I would sell or give away my other knives and just carry a Millie if I could only have one knife. Can’t wait till Spyderco gets caught up and we start seeing more of their BEST (IMO) model! I realize there is a lot going on that is out of their control, I’m just excited to see more of the Military.Midnightrider wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 1:08 pmOther knives may come and go, but a Spyderco Military is forever!

Haha! I know what you mean. I just got a buddy of mine interested in Spyderco. He decided to get a Para 3. I suggested a Native Chief for his next purchase. He asked me for some pics and it actually took some skill to get the whole knife in the shot!TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 12:57 pmThank you! After carrying the Yojumbo for a while the Manix XL feels smaller than last time I used it.
Love the combo of micarta and M4. Wish I had a matching Street Beat :)

Still got all 10!
Like 7 years ago, I did drop a SOG Flash II that bounced off the carpet and poked me right in the shin, nothing extremely serious, but I thought I learned a lesson from it.
Apparently not...LOL!
So it goes.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Yeah that is always my answer to the "If you could only have one knife what would it be" threads. To me, Spyderco totally nailed it with this one. You get a knife that is engineered perfectly, tough, amazing choice of steels and made from top quality materials, and carries like a dream even in a suit pocket. And I always liked liner locks and tip down config. This one got everything right!Nuh Nups wrote: ↑Wed Oct 27, 2021 2:53 pmMy thoughts exactly. Great knife! One I still kick myself about passing on when I had MANY chances to get it. The Native Chief fills that void these days, but no longer having any Military in my collection it just feels wrong. Don't see that knife posted often, so I like when someone busts theirs out!u.w. wrote: ↑Thu Oct 28, 2021 6:43 amCutting up a Ghost Pepper to go in my lunch (supper) at work this evening (brown basmati rice w/ black beans - bit of ginger, soy sauce, ground three color pepper kernels to go along with the ghost pepper, a chicken breast, and broccoli (-: )

Any kind of patina forming from cutting something like that pepper? I'd think it would just eat through the steel and leave you with no blade Those ghost peppers are no joke!

...lol...
no, no noticeable patina from cutting the ghost :)
yes, ghosts are pretty hot - but I enjoy them very much, along with other very hot peppers. I seem to have a pretty high tolerance for what most folks would consider TO hot.
I spent my formative years and a bit more, living primitively on a tiny island in the Pacific, and "grew up" eating quite hot peppers there, since I was two or three years old.
Maybe that's where it came from?
I even put extract in/on my meals sometimes, because I enjoy the heat.
I've had people tell me they think I'd not be to bothered by pepper spray. I thought it might make a good seasoning, lol.
Years ago, I used to put slices of jalapenos on my eyes, in the Chief's Mess, & talk about the cooling refreshing effect of the fruit, just to f*** with folks, lol. It didn't really bother me a bit though, lol.
For that matter, I don't even wash my hands after cutting up ghosts, or reapers. While I would easily agree that Yes, they are hot; I've built up a tolerance to it, and to me they aren't That hot.
and Yes, I agree that the Military is definitely a Great knife!
And - Filoso, that is a Great photo!
