Autonomy 2 SE DLC pre-purchase questions
Hi Autonomy 2 Owners,
As the title states looking to buy one the black DLC serrated model.
I would like to ask those of you who own this knife if you have experienced any blade play or lock rock when deployed, I really detest lock rock yet tolerate it in many models but not for a $240.00 purchase.
Thank you.

Don't have an Autonomy 2, but I do have both a black and an orange original Autonomy and they both lock up tighter than the proverbial duck's poop chute. Neither has a trace of either vertical or horizontal blade play when deployed. Assuming they use the same locking system, the Autonomy 2 should be just as solid.

There's only a satin blade plain edge Autonomy 2 in the catalog.. ? You sure you don't mean the Autonomy (1)

I thought the Orange was 1 and the black was 2 and the PE one was also a two?Larry_Mott wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 2:29 pmThere's only a satin blade plain edge Autonomy 2 in the catalog.. ? You sure you don't mean the Autonomy (1)
Guess I am wrong.
So yes the DLC serrated H1 with black G10.
Apologies for the confusion.

No worries, had to check the catalog because I wasn't 100% sure myself.Doeswhateveraspidercan wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 6:30 pmI thought the Orange was 1 and the black was 2 and the PE one was also a two?Larry_Mott wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2019 2:29 pmThere's only a satin blade plain edge Autonomy 2 in the catalog.. ? And I'm the opposite: I don't own either H-1 Autonomy's but I do have the Autonomy 2. It is rock solid; no play at all in any direction.

Re: Autonomy 2 SE DLC pre-purchase questions
I have all of the Autonomy models and all are rock solid
Re: Autonomy 2 SE DLC pre-purchase questions
The trick with the Plunge Lock is that it opens with so much force that you can actually over tighten the pivot and it'll still fire reliably, so you can easily dial out every bit of blade play without sacrificing the opening action. I really wish Spyderco would expand on the auto lineup and use this lock on more models.

David have you tried out the Autonomy 2 yet? I have a feeling you'd like it. The design is similar to the Caribbean, but is a bit thicker and more hand filling while having slightly thinner blade stock.Evil D wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 7:25 amThe trick with the Plunge Lock is that it opens with so much force that you can actually over tighten the pivot and it'll still fire reliably, so you can easily dial out every bit of blade play without sacrificing the opening action. I haven't but it's on my list. I was really hoping for a SE version and maybe even a sheepsfoot.
