Real of fake?

Post by Iulian »

Hi,

First time around here and I'm a Spyderco lover.

I recently bought a Tenacious and I would really appreciate your help regarding this knife. Is it real or fake?

Thanks!

Looks just like my black on black tenacious. Looks legit to me.

The Tenacious fakes I have seen are more obvious when looking inside. The liners have differed and they used plastic washers. You may need a known original to really compare. Of course, changes change within models over time too.

Two concerns. First picture the area at the top of the jimping to the vertical blade line is what i call off compared to mine. Looks shorter than mine. And mine only shows the first 3 leters in China. In the 4th picture the Spyderco word is in line with the verticle line while yours is closer at the bottom and falls away as it gets to the top. Probably ok as it is made in China so tolerances may not be as strict on the value knives.
