How to Authenticate a Spyderco

Is there any way to be 100% positive that a spyderco is in fact a spyderco? What are some signs to look for on a spyderco knife to insure that it is real?

Buy from a reputable dealer. I supposed you could send the knife to Spyderco for their inspection if it's post-purchase.
