Spydie bites

#1

Post by DutchBlades »

I know it's a bit morbid, but we're all curious...
What was your spydie bite and how bad was it?

I have yet to receive one myself,
but we all know that's just a matter of time... :p

Ouch... Must have been a nasty cut if it needed 11 stitches

I suspect the Khalsa was the accomplice?
How did that happen?

Spot on, i was trying to demonstrate something to my colleague.
Was holding the knife(closed) in my right hand, as my left hand passed over my right hand my index finger on my left hand clipped the lump where the hole in the blade is thus causing the blade to swing open, however i failed to clear my hand in time and the reverse edge of the blade sliced cleanly through my ring finger.

The chance of all those things going wrong at once are pretty slim!
Healed up ok?

Left a small scar, enough of a reminder not to play with knives

Gotta love the blue para :D
And stitches to match the colour :p
But what's the story behind it?

I decided to cut a branch, but my left arm stuck underneath and trouble arose.

At least you know you did a good job sharpening it :p
Try using a drop of superglue instead of a bandaid.
That's what I always do with cuts, and it works like a charm!
Once the small layer of glue has worn off, the wound has healed.

thx for the tip. Next time i will go to the Gamma then instead of the farmacy ;).
And yes but i think my ex girlfriend put a voodoo curse on this one. (Got it from here)
Because before we broke up i never ever cut myself with a spydie. And now since we are apart this harpy is allways the one drinking my blood. :s :p

I haven't cut myself with a Spydie (thank the Gawdz), the latest cuts by blade that I've had are from the cheap-azz "Zombie" blades that I sell at work. You know the kind with cheap Chinese steel. I can't convince my boss to sell good knives (like Spyderco's). He says, "They cost too much & no one would buy them." I have however convinced him to look into selling the Sharp Maker and ceramic pocket stones that we all love!
