Pimped Techno

#1

Post by kaze »

What's up everyone? I finally decided to customize my beloved Spyderco Techno. It was my first titanium framelock, and I fell in love with the thing (much like all my other Spydies). I torched the Ti slabs, wire clip, stainless hardware, (polished screws) and threw a CUSCADI glow in the dark backspacer. I'm pretty pumped on how it turned out! Here's some photos of the knife, looking forward to seeing how the anodize wears. Let me know what you think! A few more shots here https://www.flickr.com/photos/awrxtc/se ... 302656019/

Thanks guys, it's really a cool little knife and has become my favorite EDC. It has its quirks, but what knife doesn't? If you're on the fence about picking one up, make the jump! :)

Looks great. I have similar plans for mine and I hope it turns out as good as yours. I was wondering what the anodizing would look like on those scales, looks good.

Nice job there. Really like the rainbow coloration on the scales. What process did you use to anodize?

Heat anodized.

Nice job on the pimp. I love the color you achieved. This has to be one of the coolest Technos that I've seen.

I love to work with titanium as well, especially controlled flame anodizing, from mild to wild. When I have a little time, my Bento Box Domino Sprints is going to be the next candidate.

Here is my current example, along with additional ideas to share:
