1911 and a Millie, well played Sir.

I see alot of CruWear Millies on these boards. What is it about this steel that you guys like? Just the Sprint run rareness or something else?

The fact that I bought that particular Military, including scales, for $100. :D

Looks like you have it all covered xceptnl, except a spare mag?

Since you carrying a Millie I suppose you can be forgiven though.

I carry 2 spares in my EDC bag, which is almost always within arms reach of where I am. I agree I should possibly carry a spare, but for now I see more need for knife diversity. If I lose a blade from the package, I will have the real estate for a spare on my person.

Yeah I feel what you are putting down.

Was raised on the spare mag can fix a number of handgun function related issues so always find a way to carry one. Or six lol.

"I carry 2 spares in my Man Purse" Fixed that bit for you. :)

So I was thinking and it seems we always leave stuff out of our show EDC threads.

Specifically sunglasses and watch. I don't go anywhere with out both of these items. Do all of you guys use your phone for time and wear regular glasses or something?

Or were certain items called for in this thread somewhere in the 2000 some odd posts and I missed it?

I usually don't have the time to strip down the 20-30 odd items that make up my entire EDC. Sunglasses, watch, rings, keys, wallet, change, pens, pencils, flashlight(s), phone, etc. all make up most of our carries I am sure, but who has the time. If you really want to see some EDCs, look up Dr. Snubnose and his carry!

Good point.

I guess where I was going with this is I am curious what watch and sunglasses some of our members use.

When it comes to watches... I hate batteries so most of my watch collection consists of Citizen ECOdrives that run off of natural and artificial light. I have been wanting to try a mechanical automatic, but have not had the (spare) funds yet.

For sunglasses, Oakley (half jacket XLJ) is the only way to for my uses. I have a few Anarchy pairs, but the styles I like have long been discontinued. Either way, polarized is the way to go.

You are a man after my own heart.

If you are looking for a nice mechanical I suggest the Orient Mako. Just over $100 and a excellent time piece.

As for pictures I will take some tomorrow once the sun comes up.

Oakley M Frames or Gascans and of course the ubiquitous G Shock for an on the job watch.

A couple of years ago this was me everyday. I still carry everything in this pic plus I have added a few things as well. I do not carry it the same way as before because i got a pocket EDC organizer due to the fact that i wanted to add some bandaids and gauze and a couple of other first aid related items. I will get around to making a new photo like this one with my current setup. Laying it all out helps me with organizing anyway. I have spent a long time working on a systematic approach towards refining my EDC methods. I am always trying to figure out how to carry more while feeling like i am carrying less. That is the challenge that keeps me engaged. I do not like to belt carry anything so it is IWB or pockets only for me. It would be an understatement to call me skinny so belt carry has always been a little bit uncomfortable with my bony frame. The only things missing are clothes, my wedding ring, some common sense and occasionally a LCP or PF9 if I feel like I need it. Since this photo I have begun rotating the pocketknives and flashlights and have for some unknown reason stopped carrying a small fixed blade.

Image

You can probably tell that I was a boy scout and that I spend a lot of time in the woods. :)

This is no BS. I think a lot of pocket dump photos and videos you see online (not this thread) are crap and people are not carrying this stuff everyday (EDC). I am ready for a pocket dump challenge all day everyday that I am out of my house.

I do not carry a watch, I use my phone.

Here is a more recent pocket dump photo that shows my maxpedition notebook holder that I use as an EDC pocket organizer. Love it.
