That is truly a work of art sir- Nice one :)
Warhammer 40000 is- basically- Lord Of The Rings on a cocktail of every drug known to man and genuine lunar dust, stuck in a blender with Alien, Mechwarrior, Dune, Starship Troopers, Fahrenheit 451 and Star Wars, bathed in blood, turned up to eleventy billion, set on fire, and catapulted off into space screaming "WAAAGH!" and waving a chainsaw sword- without the happy ending.

That looks pretty neat with the exposed liner edges inside the holes!

What a difference the with the liners showing! Great mod. Are those holes tapered? Any pics with the blade closed?

Thanks guys, I'll get a picture of it closed later today.

I pretty happy with it right now, but it definitely needs more sanding to make it perfect

Looks awesome. Tempting mod, but I'd have to buy another cause I could never harm my precious!

Thats the beautiful part about it being a production knife, if you mess it up, just buy a new one :D

I had to do it once already after making this mess lol:

I can't decide if I want to do this on my Manix 2, or just trace the skeletonized liners and try to drill/grind out the same hole shapes that they have. I can't use the skeletonized liners because of how I've ground out so much of the handle behind the choil, and I don't wanna grind up a set of hard to find skeletonized liners.

Added a deep carry wire clip to my Native5 LW. Still looking for a better screw (#2-56), but I'm happy with the results.

Found a screwdriver with the right size tip, heated it up with a torch, and pressed it into the FRN creating the two recesses for the wire, cleaned them up with a small file and razor, done. The stock clip will pretty much hide this mod if you decide to go back.

Not sure if I should put these here, but they are some of my pre Spyderco knives. I didn't realize I was a modder from way back.

This is my very first try at making scales for my tenacious. I learned a lot from this first set. I started with pretty thick wood. I'm already working on another set and it should go a lot smoother this time (especially considering it won't be my first time using this specific set of tools). By the way, those aren't stained, that is the natural color of the wood.

I didn't notice the backspacers reflection in the weekly contest yet; great looking piece like this!
A tiger has claws.
A wolf has teeth.
An eagle has talons.
We, have Spyderco.

Hey, nice Barcelona FC shield! I'm looking forward to seeing your next set of scales.
