Wonderful pics.. :)

I do love Your "anti-smurf" equipment.. ;) but for now, I couldn't stand the color of blue dodos: for it reminds me my university brand color too much.. (the brand of Politecnico di Torino).. XD lol

Comparison pics, Spyderhawk and other curved ones:

Sorry, the quality is what it is. Just tried to take some comparison shots, and I STILL can't get my light-settings right. I've tried everything, but the only way to get good shots would be, to be in direct sunlight outdoors.. and it's raining today.

today's arrivals

pardon the pic, I only have the camera obscura in my mobile. it's much better than usual, though, must be the sunlight. :D

Spyderhawks: grim reaper's scythe sounds exactly right, I keep thinking about a Spyderhawk turned into an Karambit. :spyder:

Some more Micro-Manix

#111

Post by JT »

Previously I made a thread about my DIY micro-Manix:
http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... icro+manix

Someone asked some in hand-pics.. here you go. Sorry for the dirty fingers, I've been working on my motorcycle today. Note, I'm a full lefty, but tried to take these pics holding the knife in my right hand. So, the grip looks a bit funny to me, at least.

I got excited reading all these experiments with the Ferroclorid stuff, and just had to try it too.
I carry a worn Delica ZDP at work, she’s seen some real use. I took her as my first victim.
Then I just had to mess around with the Native 5 (don’t ask about that hole on the scale :) )

and to top it off, I threw my trusty old Cricket to “the soup” too. Funny enough, the other side of the scales didn’t react as much as the other side.. but now it’s real Yin and Yang… don’t you think? Ain’t this little Cricket just helluva sexy little knife now:

Next,
I'll test out how well the surface lasts.

Aaand here's quick shot of my safe, or one shelf of it, some misc bits and spare parts, and some preciousss boxes (incl knives)..

and from last fall,
From my fishing trip to Northern Sweden, I was hoping to get the Tatanka before the trip, but the mailman didn't deliver in time.
I took my Pac Salt instead, and used it as my dedicated small-to-medium-chores knife.
the pics don't do the place any justice, we were between two mountains in a valley, these were taken from halfway up on the other side.

Nice to have you back, JT! Long time no see. ;) Hey, do you still happen to have your "micro-Manix?" I'd love to see some pictures of it again.

Thanks Spydernut,
glad to be around :)
I still have the Micro-Manix, but no new pics of it. The older ones seem to be still around this thread. I'm so lazy @ taking pics nowadays :D

Lol, no worries. I know what you mean about pictures. :o I always think about posting pics, but it's such a hassle to upload them. Anyway, I need to figure out how to upload pics directly from my S5...

some crappy garage-trainers...
Tatanka can be a very potential SD knife too, if needed.
ARK is for very-very close range, and slices very well..
Love the Street Bowie too, and I can't wait to get my Street Beat, should be here next week.

IRL LBK Hawkbill is a nastly slicer too I tell you! I use my modified heavy bag for training and cutting tests, and was actually shocked to see how deep the little claw cuts.
