Did you have yours aftermarket coated? Or were they available factory black and I'm just not aware?
Or is it just the photo lighting?? :)
I wish the made them like that! But it's an aftermarket cerakote ;)

Gotcha, thanks for the reply.
I kind of like a patina developing on my M4 Bradley, but the black coat is always trick looking too!
I could make some new pictures in the morning if you wanna get a better idea of how it looks ;) On holidays now, but the GB is one of the five lucky spydies to go with us :p
A tiger has claws.
A wolf has teeth.
An eagle has talons.
We, have Spyderco.

I think I've seen those flashlights on amazon before too when I got some ultrafires... is it as bright as they claim?
It is the Fenix TK35, and Fenix says 860 lumens or something like that. It is extremely bright--I can illuminate hills 1/2 mile away, and it is way brighter than car "bright" headlights. I have checked it against several other lights and I would say confidently that it puts out the full 800+ lumens.

I picked this one up at the REI garage sale for half price, which was $55 IIRC. Even for the full price, think that it would be worth it. The only problem is that it runs through a set of rechargeable batteries in about an hour on "turbo" mode.

Thanks guys!

@SPeedholes - I must have my notifactions set up weird. I usually get an update when someone posts. I like the PPT but I just wish it was finger flickable.

Oh, actually my comment was directed more at the fact that I posted a photo of my PPT, then spydieh0le posted directly after me that there were no PPT pics, which I found odd... (I have had this happen before where I post an answer, or reply, or question, and it goes overlooked...? Figured people had me on an ignore list or something.)
And yeah, I agree, the PPT is difficult to right-hand finger flick. Thumb is great, very fast and smooth, but If you try to do a finger you have to really focus to get a fingernail in the covered opening...
