Your Nilakka looks much darker than mine... but not sure of it may only be lighting.
But, it also appears to have a zero grind. Was this by chance one of the early ones that might have had quality problems with breaking? I vaguely read about that in another thread, but had never seen one of them.
Going back to Caly.

It's just the lighting to not saturate the blade's brightness. This one had a little weak zero grind but I put a 40 degrees "nanobevel". For light cutting works great, it's like a laser!

X-File #186: $499.95 MSRP. No custom clip. No supersteel... let's investigate.

Well, I wouldn't (at the current price). I miss some details, not talking about double row ball bearings but something as a stop lock, steel insert or custom clip. The lock comes out of the box at 60-70% ala Sebenza (not as late as in my K2), but even if a steel insert isn't needed I guees the goal was to keep it simple as other designs... so I hope the wear it's not a problem in the long-term (the same goes for the K2... ). I don't know if that blade finish compromised the steel choice, but I would have used CTS-204P with a more common stonewashed.

I knew more or less what I was getting: a great slicer with a VERY nicely finished blade and nice rounded titanium handles. I just think Spyderco missed the opportunity to produce a truly "must have".

At the end of the day it cuts nice and also loves the camera...

I just love this "baby". GREAT fit and finish, nice flipper (as usual in ZT) and surpringsily light for its size. Just maybe scary for non-knife people! Here is a shot alongside a Military:

Well the non-knife people don't need to know what they are missing...more spydies and ZT for us. I also have a Millie..thanks for the comparison picture! I know it's not a spydie but I also recently picked up a 0620cf and that is a piece of work in itself. Seems like ZT has really stepped up their game as of late.

I agree, their latest releases are simply gorgeous. I also recommend the 0562CF to... everyone. This time a pic rescued from the digital drawer:

Yea. I just missed a 0562cf on the forums the other day for $190. I was so mad when I missed it by literally 2 minutes. I must admit although spyderco is my favorite production company zt has moved it's way into the #2 spot for sure. That 777 is beautiful btw, I'm envious.
