Spydercos???

The Knives and Food thread got me thinking. Best recollection of my old brain I have field dressed/skinned/quartered many head of game....

Many deer/antelope dressed with an Endura and or Delica.

Bunches of bunnies and squirrels with a Delica and an old Worker.

Wild hogs (Russians,Javelinas, feral swine,etc...) with a Street Beat and a couple with a Street Bowie.

Quail and Pheasant with a Worker and some with a Rookie.

Couple of Elk.....took 2 Enduras, a Street Bowie and an hatchet.

Bunch of other stuff but these are the bulk of it.

So, who else??? And what was it??

My two Temperance 1 models ( PE & SE) are my quintescential outdoor hunting and fishing blades. Over the years I've just had excellent luck especially with my PE Temperance 1 fixed blade. They take an edge that is just flat out wicked and they open a deer's hide even better than a lubricated zipper. I also keep the Spyderedged version handy for certain parts of the butchering job and it does come in handy when separating joints and so forth.

For a hunting folder I just can't hardly beat my C-60 Ayoob model>> it's ergonomic blade design even makes difficult jobs a lot easier. Both my Temp 1 and Ayoob have VG-10 blade steel and it's just a great all purpose blade steel and it holds an edge great during the process. I do however want to get a Southfork at some point because I know a fixed blade with S90V will be awesome.

Truly I would like to see a Sprint Run of the TEMP 1 model and hopefully some day see a super revamped version of the C-60 Ayoob. It's as though those knives were designed for outdoor use because they both are unbeatable in my humble opinion.

I can hardly believe that JD and I are the only hunters on here who have used a Spyderco to dress game. Very odd.

Do you think an Endura Wave or Endura basic with either PE or SE or Combo Edge would also be good for dressing game like deer and wildebeasts and caribou and such?

I don't use CE or SE in dressing or butchering, have never tried it, so it would be up to you to try. PE Endura works just fine.
