Do you think this article information applies to Spyderco knife clips or only other ones, due to the fine refinement of the metal on Spyderco clips?

Or just realize that jeans are best with a little wear and don't worry so much about this sort of thing ;)

I don't have this issue with the OEM clip on the Delica-4. As you know, the pressure point rests on the flat/smooth portion of the handle.

Someone may have answered this but have any of you ever tried clipping the knife to a chest pocket, like on a button-up shirt? I tried wearing my Delica that way, it worked for a bit but I soon put it back in the pocket; even so, that is one way to carry it.

One problem would be, if you bent down to pick something up, the knife may fall out, if it is not secured tightly enough to the shirt.

Another advice... Don't wear any pants ! :D

You can also bend the clip a bit, so it get a bit loose and it won't tear your clothes ;)

On some super grippy G10 and super tight clips cough, cough-Emerson. I place some fine grit sand paper between the clip and the scale using the tension on the clip to apply pressure on the scale, I pull it a few time until it loses its cheese grater texture. I also loosen the clip a little. This way works for me as it doesn't sand down any part of the scale you would see just that area directly under the clip that's the problem.
