The wife and I like to grill fresh beets on the patio. Just slice them, toss them with a little olive oil and some salt/pepper - and grill for 20-30 min on medium heat. Awesome summer treat!

There is no human on earth bada$$ enough to make me eat beets. I despise them more than any other food I've encountered. I grew up having to put up with beets on the menu along with Borsht soup, cold borsht with sour cream.... Nope, Not gonna do it. Not with a gun to my head even.

I've been really hungry too before. Even after several days without food beets still aren't anything but animal feed to me.

that seals it...never gonna eat them again
