Would you buy an M4 Para2?

I decided to jump on Zen's idea and put up a poll to see who's interested in a Para2 in M4 steel. I think a sprint in this steel would be my go-to knife for the next decade!

If you are on the fence, or aren't interested, let us know why in comments!

I definitely would, I like M4 and the Para 2, so why not? Hopefully not in Pink G10, but I guess scales can always be changed out.

Is a 4 pound robin fat? :p Don't know if it will happen but I've already put this bug in Jeff's ear. 800 pulleeze :D I told him the scales could be chiffon yellow or red with black liners  I'm sure he knew I was kidding about this part....... it was Feb. 13th. When I made the recommendation he said he had a number of possibilities going on. Time will tell. :spyder:

Thanks guys! Now you know I am in. Actually this is one I may need buy 2 of. I wouldn't care what color scales it had. I know also John Grimsmo has some nice aluminum para2 scales in the works.

I do like M4, but I have the Manix2. I have a Para2 also, in 20CP, but I'd prefer 110V or S90V. I know there are already S90V's in the Para2, but who has $500? We need more of these, Sal...

Oh yes yes yes yes. And once I had it...I would sell all the others that I have. I wouldn't need another Para2 ever. i would probably buy 2 or 3 of the M4 and that would be that.

I'm quite impressed with my Gayle Bradley; adding M4 to the excellent Para 2 platform would be intriguing.

To me, there's no absolute answer on this one.
But, I'd prefer stainless... post-WW II.
If there was no stainless steel able to fulfill the need...
Would a stone blade be better?

How about slowing down to a standard Para2 jog with S90V, or other... without being a tool... rather than stainless?

I wouldn't get this. I have a hard time bringing myself to spend money on a sprint run solely based on steel and handle color. After that I have a hard time using said sprint run. There's far too many production knives that I'd rather be spending my money on.

Maybe if there was an economic sprint run like a 440C PM2 haha. Unlikely though considering I'm the minority.

If there was a "**** Yes" option I would have chosen that.

I'd buy it quicker than any stainless except possibly S90V or S110V . Please bump the para up to the RC 64 area as IMO that's where CPM M4 shines. 62 is wasteful of performance in a folder. No one should be batoning with a folder and M4 is plenty tough at RC 64-65.

I wouldn't buy one for M4 steel alone. It would depend on the handle...

M4 with Ti frame lock? - Yes please!
M4 with grey G-10? - No thanks.

Yes! Ive got all the other steels I'd like in a para 2 covered; S90V, M390, XHP. I'd love a M4 Para with maybe some kind of burgundy handle.
On order: Maxamet Native 5
Current pocket hog: S90V Para2
Next up: Something Blurple
