If you clip the knife in your pocket, the bead should be on the outside so it shouldn't be hitting the knife. Personally the only use I have for beads is to weigh down the fob so it doesn't stick straight out and look silly.

Makes sense, but I still imagine it would make a smooth spot on your G10/handle where it would rub over time...

I'm new to the lanyard thing, but looks interesting for smaller folders. I think I'll give one a try but without the beads.

By the way, forgot to mention in my above post; there are some incredible lanyards going on here! wow... :D
Going back to Caly.

I can't say I've had that happen to me, but I also don't EDC a lanyard, I really only use them for outdoor use and mostly on fixed blades.

I have to admit, I tried a lanyard on a knife and just found it annoying. Lanyards for my keys, however, are fine.

Thanks I'm in love with these diamond knots, they just work so well, you can get them pulled so tight they are like diamonds when you feel them, very hard knots, just the right size for my pinky to hook onto and the other end of the lanyard has one to end the loop.

Living in AK I find that a vast majority of the time I need my EDC I'm outside working and have gloves on because its cold, having a pull makes it so much easier to get my knife out without having to remove my gloves. I try to only put pulls on my main work knives but must admit I do get a little bead crazy from time to time. :D

I use it when I'm batoning wood to take some of the shock away from my hand. It used to be on my PM2, but put it on my B-UK because it was kind of in the way on the folder. The soloman bar is easily removed from the small knot on the other cord by sliding the bar down (compressing it) and popping it off. It is just as easy to put it back on too (but very secure). I'm gonna visit MECCA (Spyderco Showroom) next week while in Denver and probably get a :spyder: bead for it to replace the skull.

:spyder: Swag from my weekend trip to MECCA. Came home and decided it would look better on my PM2 than on my BC-UK. Simple, Yet Elegant don't you think?
